The initial delays weren't Florence related, though the deliveries this week might be. Things are changing for the better on the mountain with a serious effort at better communication and responsiveness from Yosef. I see this delay as a bump in the road as some changes are made to improve all the processes that have to mesh to make Yosef happen smoothly.

Daphne,

Any chance the Yosef Club can help push to bring back the tradition of letting the kids back on the field after the games? My son, 8, has been coming to games since he was a baby and since they stopped the tradition back in’16, he literally asks me before every game whether I think they will let us play on the field after the game. I spoke with the Associate AD a few seasons ago about it and he said (since they were all new at the time) that they were not aware that it was a “tradition”. I get there are logistics involved in allowing fans to do this, but Clemson has been doing this forever. Any help would be great, would love to be able to do this again outside of the Last game of the season.

That's a good question. It may be a conference rule at this point. It seems I've heard the same sort of announcements at other conference stadiums. I'd suggest giving athletics another call to ask. Certainly, the Clemson tradition is a longstanding one that involves players interacting with young fans after every single game. Our tradition was simply letting folks on the field if I'm remembering correctly.

Now that you mention it, I think the SunBelt having a rule about it was what the new reason is. I’ll blame my deteriorating memory on forgetting that. Considering we have the largest crowds per game in the Belt, we should leverage our position and push to change it back!

Communication is more important than the goodies and I certainly am not alone when I say I get very poor communication from the YOSEF Club.

If you believe that the Yosef Club gives you poor communication, you can fix it. Pick up the phone.

They do send quite frequent emails if you’ve provided an updated email address.

The #1 issue when I worked with The Yosef Club as a student and on the advisory board was up to date contact information, it wasn’t atypical to have 2/3rds of contacts to be out of date.
