Ladies and gentlemen, while all this is fun and games let me remind you of a few games in ASU history: WCU after beating USC; first round playoff after going 11-0; VMI; Liberty. Need I say more? We are the better team this coming Saturday but let's not lose sight of the old saying: "Any given Saturday...." That being said, give 'em hell, Apps! I hope we light up the scoreboard!

Good post, Mike.

Hope we steamroll these guys!!! I think our speed will give them some problems. I know Scott wants to play smash-mouth football and I understand the advantages, but hoping Zac is given the green light to take some down field shots. Lets ROCK Sect 129!!!

I’ve been jacked all week for this game.... I got 10 tickets for the my family of App fans, great parking spot, cold beverages on the ready....... and now I’m going through that “what if Charlotte somehow pulls off the upset” “why does Vegas have a tight line”

Terrible thoughts. Satterfield, please just throttle these guys and do not let up!

Just a feeling but, with our guys wanting that first win, wanting to show that last week was not a fluke, playing in a homecoming for many of our players-with their friends and family in attendance, a large and loud App crowd there to get them charged up, and UNCC being who they are...I just don't see this one even being close. If our first and second stringers are on some kind of emotional hangover from last week, then I feel confident our third and fourth stringers can execute a smack down on these guys. I'm not sure that the Niners understand the storm that's headed their way...

Since this will be their largest crowd ever to see a football game. I hope everyone will consider bringing in App State banners and flags (w/o pole) to hang and hold up around the stadium. This will make it harder for them to Photoshop App State memorabilia out of the pics which they will most certainly try to use in UNCC marketing.

I don't think we have to worry about their PS skills.

Like most, I have some fear of a "let down" game, but I really don't believe it will happen. I think the team is going to be very hungry and motivated to show what they can do. I do think the play book will be more balanced and we'll see more from our RB depth, but I don't think Satterfield will let Zac's arm go unused.

Even last year, Charlotte had a decent D, but I think we have way too many weapons for them to handle.

This may have been brought up already somewhere, but let's all agree to stay to the very end of the game, even if we're up 50 or 60 points. The UNCC fans will bail-out early in that situation and we'll have the stadium to ourselves and we can claim it as Kidd Brewer South. Our players would appreciate a game ending group of Mountaineers cheering them to the end.

My birthday was the 3rd of September. My first name is Thomas and my last is the same as the deceased publisher/founder of Playboy. I asked to have the birthday message on the big screen so when that pops up then feel free to give out a "There's a Mountaineer" yell or something. Let them know we are taking over KBS south.

I’ll be there until 0:00 regardless of the score and will give our team a standing ovation as they leave the field.

How much power/influence does a coaching staff have in "getting a team up" for a game? Leadership among players counts for just as much. And you can't start "getting up" for the game on Thursday. Way too late. Sometimes, the team just ain't going to be on edge, as we wish they were every game. If we are not up, it could be fairly close. Hopefully, the talent difference will be enough. ASU is their Michigan. scat, I remember CCU last year. Whew! And El Cid whipping us 5-6 years ago. These were games where you sit in the stands and keep thinking, "When are we going to engage?" You never know when dealing with young people. Sometimes, they surprise you to no end (Penn State, Michigan) and other times they disappoint to no end. I hope our talent and tradition and expectations come through big time so there will be doubt of dominance when the game is over.
