I’m probably late to the game here, but what does the tailgate scene look like at UNCC? Are there Visitor or pay-to-park lots?

Lot 25 and 26 are your best options. Those are RV/tailgating lots. Many UNCC game day parking lots don’t allow tailgating. Our fans already sold out the only parking deck roof on which you’re allowed to tailgate.

Lot 26 may also have UNCC students, but tons of our fans already have passes there.

Which lots permit tailgating and which ones do not?

Anyone know what the deal is with most of the decks? I'm in the Union deck, just said "no grills". I was just going to pick up some food and sit behind the car.

Biggie that is my plan for the purple west deck as well.

Same deck for me. That's what I was wondering. Can you bring stuff (sans grill) and sit behind your car in the Union deck?

Gonna pick up some Bojangles tailgate special and hang out in the purple deck until it's time to destroy Charlotte.

Here is the link we used to get out parking pass. It has explanations on most of the lots/decks. We decided on the Orange deck. It is close to the stadium and has the highest clearance of the decks it looks like. Still recovering from PSU road trip, but Can't wait until Saturday night!

Just says no grills on some, I assume hanging out and eating isn't an issue. Guess we'll see about an adult beverage (solo cup time to be safe probably).

Find a spot outside the deck.....And the UNCC students ( the few that will be there) will be very nasty.
I'm in and out of that place.

We will be eating in the deck too and no grilling. I got a ticket for a good friend that is a UNCC grad and he is bringing the BBQ and ribs & fixins from Ray's Country Smokehouse in Gastonia. We will bring beverages and mason jars down from Wilkes...some solo cups too just in case.

Basically, you want to be in the Purple West deck (only roof spots allow grills and those are sold out), lot 25, or lot 26 if you want to tailgate.

2PM according to someone on their board.

Seems a little late to me.


Edit: The guidelines on page 8 of this document from their parking website confirms the 4 hour tailgate-kick off window.

They really don't want any fun to be had...

Drinking games (included but not limited to beer pong), and the use of devices intended to
accelerate the consumption of alcohol (including but not limited to funnels or beer bongs) are
prohibited.

I have a spot in lot 25 and plan to tailgate. I just hope there’s a lot of App fans in 25. I don’t want my family to be surrounded by smart mouth punks.

Guess I'm glad we never really parked in a campus parking lot.

I am planning to show up earlier than 2 PM. I doubt they will stop us to be honest.

We have a large group that will be in Lot 25 as well. Mixture of UNCC and ASU fans/alums, so us ASU fans will not be alone there. We are planning to get there between 1:30 and 2 in hopes of them letting us in early. Is lot 25 first come first serve/park?
