Back about the time we switched to the spread offense we updated our jerseys to the current version. Now that Scot has taken over as the HC this could be the perfect time to make some adjustments in our current uniforms.

Obviously, the home jerseys/uniforms should remain majority black. Call me old school, but I kinda like the all black previous ones with just APPALACHIAN across the chest....maybe update that with some piping/stripe down the side....Thoughts?

And as much as I like the all black setup at home, I really really liked the throwbacks from 2008 worn against Jacksonville. I'd take those in a heartbeat as well.

Our current uniforms were introduced in 2005. The ones in the poster above with Richie were 2004. I think that poster was done before the season began and the new uni's arrived. I remember that was one of JM's first requests for Cobb

My mistake. I'll revise my post to say the ones on the poster were my favorites. I'd like to see them back.

I like our current jersey / uniform and really don't see any need to change it. I definitely do NOT want a change to the helmet. The yellow old school Yosef was fine for a game, but NO WAY I want it for our official helmet. Black "A" all the way!

I'd just as soon have a smaller Appalachian across the chest....it looks classier....and less high school!

Quite appropriate for running past tacklers in Ann Arbor, no?

Maybe a compromise, block A on one side, "Yosef" stickers on the other for good plays etc.

Black on the uniforms as much as possible please. [Maybe a little more white on the hotter days]. Bring back the helmet stickers too please. Armanti and those guys were intimidating Beasts with all those helmet stickers! Vintage Yosef on the helmets and/or sleeves would be awesome too. I also agree big block "APPALACHIAN" on the jerseys...but need to insist on spell checking ALL of them please

This is going to sound very contradictory. I love the old Yosef. I am not a fan of the new Yosef. However, I like the new uniforms. I want the block A on the helmet, and that should not change. I think we all look back and want things the way they were when we were at App. Things change, and so should the uniforms. With that said, bring back the black endzones!.

Absolutely. And, on Black Saturday break out black pants with reverse striping. It's a clean look that doesn't look like the Miami Hurricanes circa 2001. I prefer the Block A helmet to the old Yosef helmets (other than one game each year). If helmet stickers are brought back (don't care either way) they should be the old Yosef. We should throw away the Gorton Yosef and forget it ever existed.

How about keep the helmet the same, have a black jersey with the small Appalachian State logo on the chest- Old School Yosef on sleeve- numbers on shoulders, and gold pants with black stripes. For the road have a white jersey and black pants. On Black Saturday wear all black.

Not bad. Though for me, every Saturday is Black Saturday.

A few weeks ago a fellow student I know who works for The Appalachian Newspaper said that the football program was getting new uniforms for next year. I take it as a grain of sand though. Not really sure how they could get that kind of information so early. I was told that info the week after Moore resigned.
