With all of these games being cancelled I wonder what the chances of us filling the cable slots. Might be a surprise exposure game for us. Plus if it is windy and rainy, I know I will chime in whoever the teams are

If you are east of I-85 focus on the storm. If you are west of I-85, focus on the game. See you at the Rock.
In my neck of the woods I-85 runs pretty much E-W so I am 2 miles north of I-85. Need advice.
Yeah. I live 20 miles north of where 85 ends. I’m confused. 🤔
I know this is a family board but all I can say is your f'ed.
Or, I could be 20 miles away from the northern edge of the storm.

Not looking good for Brunswick and New Hanover Counties. Things are going to start getting sporty on Thursday morning. This one is going to leave a mark.

Which probably means they're going to wait for this thing to make landfall and see where it decides to turn north before making a final decision...

9ers still think they're going to be playing a 6:00 game Saturday according to their website.

ECU/VT is cancelled on the account that ECU is deciding not to send their team up to Blacksburg. Tech doesn't seem to be happy about them making that decision "so early."

My previous comment had nothing to do with the storm but just where you live in Va. :D

(The most recent track has the storm moving through more of central SC after landfall just inside NC. Moving farther away from you and me, though this may not be good for our beloved mountains.)
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Not really. Midlothian is quite nice.

Stay game focused.... Most of the rain may come after the game.

Moving it to noon start could help a bit. Friday night would be even better if SoMiss would agree to that.

I heard two forecasters use the term "now casting" this morning. They really dont know what is going to happen once it hits. Our local guy is usually spot on and he favors the track where it will hug the coast down to Charleston and eventually head west towards Atlanta.

So here's my question/predicament. I'm planning on coming up for the game on Friday and staying until Sunday. The weather looks beautiful for Friday and Saturday, but am I going to be driving home through a hurricane on Sunday?

Very possible. It's like being stalked by a turtle.

I agree a noon or 1:00 start would be much better, then the game is over and we are driving down the mountain home in daylight. Driving back after dark in the rain could be bad. I wish they would move to a noon or 1:00 start time for the safety of the fans.

I don't know if we need them.

Attendees will be locals and students if this game happens at all. I'll try to make it up from Charlotte.

I'd like to see them offer free admission to the local folks for this one, or at least for Watauga County students plus one. But considering they are still pushing the 4 for $99 deal, it won't happen.
