Based on what they're showing now, I think the game should be moved to Friday night, if possible, or earlier on Saturday, like a morning or noon kickoff.

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
Yeah populated areas seem to have people freaking out. I don't get the gas lines, all the gas around here comes up the Colonial Pipeline out of the Gulf so I doubt there would be a disruption once this thing makes landfall.
I drove up to Rockingham County and got gas at a station outside of Madison without any issue. So I guess if you just go out into a rural area, away from the hysteria of the suburbs you can be fine. I'm gassed up, tanked up, pumped up for whatever comes, lol.

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
Even if the weather cooperates in Boone for the game, my biggest concern is getting back home to Charleston. I’ve seen what heavy rain can do along my route home. Will continue to play wait and see.....

Tuesday, Sept. 11 University Class Schedule Announcement
As we move forward with hosting our first home football game of the season on Saturday, we are in close communication with Southern Miss Athletics, as well as the National Weather Service and our campus emergency management team, regarding the storm track of Hurricane Florence.
Currently, we are still planning to host Southern Miss on time at 3:30 p.m. at The Rock on Saturday, Sept. 15.
As we monitor Hurricane Florence, we will make the best decision possible for our campus, fans and visiting team.
If any changes need to be made to the game schedule, we will communicate this to campus and ticket holders via the university website, email and local and regional media outlets.

Re: FLORENCE MIGHT BE A PROBLEM
It's not so much a fear of disruption to distribution of gas, as it is not being able to get any if/when the power goes out.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Tue Sep 11, 2018 1:41 pmYeah populated areas seem to have people freaking out. Hey in a random twist of irony, anyone else know that Southern Miss' M. M. Roberts Stadium is also known as "The Rock" too?

If you are east of I-85 focus on the storm. If you are west of I-85, focus on the game. See you at the Rock.
