Zac Thomas was named national player of the week by the CFPA (College Football Performance Awards) for his performance vs UNCC September 8, 2018.

Zac Thomas is having a break out year! I was worried about someone stepping up after the great job Taylor Lamb, but after watching #12 for the past 2 weeks, I am relieved and sleep much better at night now. Outstanding WR and OL play too, Great job!

Deserving recognition. Kudos, to play calling, O-line pass protection, receiver route running, and ball catching. Don't let off the gas Apps!

I would guess that the Sun Belt defensive coordinators that had planned to focus on stopping Moore's legs now have to also worry about stopping Zac's arm...love it!! And to give proper credit...our receivers are putting on a show and the O-line is giving them the time.

ZT still getting kudos from Penn State fan impressed about his PSU game, who followed his performance in the Charlotte game. Called in and mentioned his impressive stats vs Charlotte on the Bill King Show on Nashville Sports Radio, they had a small conversation on who ZT would help in the Big10 and SEC. The PSU caller asked if he would have to sit out a year if he was recruited away, not sure if the PSU fan thinks we are FCS? Last week same caller gave praise to ZT, Sutton, Flory, and another linebacker and one or two more receivers as being able to play on any roster in the country. Also said Pitt fans were giving him mouth before Penn State rolled them.
