Looking at us and them, its easy to see the difference in athletes between FCS and FBS.
Their wasn’t as much difference when we were in FCS.
More than the difference between fcs and fbs, what stood out to me was how far our strength and conditioning program has come.

Jalin Moore has gotten noticeably faster . My concern for next week is our pass blocking . SA will bring a variety of pressures and have better athletes than we’ve seen the past two games .Handle that and take care of the ball and it’s off to the races.

I think USA will bring a different degree of physicality Saturday. I think our team will be chomping at the bit to get back on the field. I get a different vibe about our team this year. They will be looking forward to the challenge!

Totally impressed yesterday. We are GOOD! On another note; here's what Gardner-Webb coach said post-game.
Gardner-Webb coach Carroll McCray

"App's got a great team, and we knew that coming in here. Coach Satterfield's done a great job in his recruitment, retaining players and improving them while they're here."

"He was as kind as he could be to us today, and he showed his class by the way they played today. I appreciate him being a man of integrity and showing his class in that manner."

That's good. I was wondering how the outside world would see us scoring 72 points. I remember we got chastised in the 79-35 and 70-24 games for running up the score.

It was 49-7 just over 20 minutes into the game and we kept the starters in until halftime, which I thought was fine so we could give our guys enough reps.

After we went up 52-7 at the half, I wondered how we could NOT score 80. We just played. We moved the ball and hit the plays that were there. I think that they somewhat called the dogs off after the Derrick to Heath TD as there wasn't much down field throws after that.

The referees also kept the clock running at every opportunity, which I have no problem with in a game like yesterday’s.

I don't even think we were trying once we got to the 4th quarter. I mean, where do you go once your 4th stingers are put in and they're still scoring? The play callers? Yosef? The band? Gardner Webb was back on the bus and headed back to Boiling Springs after the first quarter.

Is there anywhere to see the highlights from the game?

Yes he did, but my neighbor who has only one leg would look fast against those guys. They had a few fast kids, but overall, they sure weren't track stars.

From being there we played 5 or 6 QBs. 5 RBs. I'm glad their coach was understanding and not upset.

Not sure what this means...do you mean there isn't much difference between Gardner-Webb 2018 and when Appalachian was FCS? Or do you mean Appalachian 2018 and when Appalachian was FCS?
