I was thinking of this in terms of UNCC. I guess this makes ODU #12 in the country and Charlotte #11. Since we beat Charlotte we can claim #10 and I do think Penn St is #9 in some polls so all the math works out just right.
Love me some transitive property, but where is Liberty?
Liberty is losing to UNT right now so their position is UNT ranking +1. My methodology is not logical but neither is Liberty so it is all fair.

(I have a daughter that is dating someone taking some online classes at Liberty. He is a decent guy it seems, and I am tempering my thoughts about Liberty just a tad.)
I know a lot of Liberty folks up here. Many of them are cool. Some are, well, not.
He is taking online classes so I appreciate the effort he is putting in. I do wish it was somewhere a bit more "legit" especially the online part, but again everyone has to find their path in life and better this than not trying to better himself. It's not in creation science at least.

At the end of the day I'll take a daughter with a decent boyfriend taking classes through Liberty over an a-hole that attends App State as I am sure even App State has a few men on campus that are not what I would want any of my three daughters dating.
Well said. And I knew a few of those a-holes at App (not the fun kind). Hope they mellowed out.

Sounds like ODU found themselves a QB.

My best friend is a Hokie who made the trip to Norfolk. I hope he is ok as there are a lot of bridges between SWVA and Norfolk that could tempt someone. Of course I rode with him to our imaginary game in Blacksburg, so I'm not too sympathetic.

Did I hear right, that ODU’s back-up QB that started the game but left after the 2nd series due to injury? It was actually the 3rd String QB that won it. Crazy.

The talking heads on ESPNU were trying to say that this upset may be the biggest college upset based on the fact of how poorly ODU was doing up to beating the Hokies. Losing to Liberty, FIU and (lol) Charlotte prior to this game.

I still think us beating Michigan as an FCS team (albeit a divisional powerhouse at the time) was still a bigger upset by a mile.

Sounds like Travaris Cadet who almost led an upset of EZU when AE almost cut off his foot.

I think the Michigan upset definitely had more “glamour” because it was Michigan and for that reason, will be remembered more in the long term. I can see how This one last night might be considered the bigger upset in terms that we were a damn good team in 2007 (national champs) but ODU just flat out sucks. This one truly came out of nowhere!

How does a thread about a huge upset devolve into this crap? Good job ODU. Making the G5 proud.

Well, VT does have precedent w/ this sort of thing so I wouldn’t say it came out of nowhere...can’t believe they were also 13th ranked the last time this happened! (Yes, I know James Madison is “better” than ODU but still FCS and it happened in Blacksburg)
