As a long time resident of Richmond VA, where everyone I know is either a Hokie Pokie, Wahoo, Purple Dukie, or whatever you call ODU fans, this Monarch win is a BIG deal. Particularly since a lot of VT and UVA fans I know are not happy about all these games in Norfolk and Lynchburg the two state powers have agreed to play in coming years.
Yep. Moreso in Southside. Hell, they all pull for Tech, and will have excuses galore for this one, as to them the Chokies have never lost a game. They’re kind of like CHeat fans. Also, ranked VT has now been upset by in-state "lesser" programs twice, after being the second ranked FBS team to lost to an FCS squad when JMU knocked them off 8 or so years back.

Very true but seriously if Penn State is legit top 10 we are still probably top 20 material. Time will tell but damn how the hell does a team who lost to Charlotte ( who sucks) beat a VT? The ESPN write up of course says the the Hokies were flat and the ECU game cancelled, blah blah blah. Liberty is losing to UNT right now so their position is UNT ranking +1. I know a lot of Liberty folks up here. Many of them are cool. (I have a daughter that is dating someone taking some online classes at Liberty. He is a decent guy it seems, and I am tempering my thoughts about Liberty just a tad.)
He is taking online classes so I appreciate the effort he is putting in. I do wish it was somewhere a bit more "legit" especially the online part, but again everyone has to find their path in life and better this than not trying to better himself.
