Attendance at Gardner Webb Game
I just ordered my tickets for the game on line to pick up at Will Call. There sure were a lot of empty seats left on the East Side.

Re: Attendance at Gardner Webb Game
Having 3 straight home games after a UNCC game (4th home game) meant that a number of folks needed to pick one to miss. It was an easy pick. With that said, I hope we get a lot of last minute walk-ups. For those who are there, be loud and proud for our opener!

Hoping that a lot of folks originally planning to attend the opener will exchange for this game because it is the new opener! I know of 4 families (17 total) that were planning the trip last week and are now exchanging their single game tix for this game. The Moody1 and I are happy to have them join our tailgate!

It's Gardner Webb. When people were making plans after the schedule came out they had three trips to the Mountains in as many weeks and cut one out accordingly.
Looks like bad weather for Saturday too. I don't expect more than 20k, mostly because it's Gardner Webb.

I am making the trip this week after originally planning to miss. Hopefully we will have a decent walk up crowd.
As another poster said, it is what it is.

According to Ray's Weather, Partly sunny with widely scattered showers... I wouldn't call that bad.Gonzo wrote: ↑Tue Sep 18, 2018 3:12 pmIt's Gardner Webb. When people were making plans after the schedule came out they had three trips to the Mountains in as many weeks and cut one out accordingly.

I’ll be there with 7 others.
Attendance for these games will likely never be 25k, we just don’t have the fanbase to achieve those metrics.
Some will see this as a knock on our fanbase, it’s not, it’s just reality.
We have one of the top 20 fanbases at the G5 level.

Eh, it'll be just like last year's home opener vs. Savannah State. At least 18K attending, tons will leave by halftime (traitors), will be a blowout, etc.

Re: Attendance at Gardner Webb Game
They added App State vs. GWU tickets on Vet Tix (Veterans Tickets Foundation) for tickets for Veterans this week. They are getting gone pretty good. Only 32 left available on the site today. They also have NC State, UNC, & Duke tickets on there. I do wish they would update our logo on there, it is still the old Gorton's fisherman logo.

Re: Attendance at Gardner Webb Game
Judging by all the tickes that people have been unloading here in tje Cabin the last couple of weeks and the iffy weather forecast, I’m not holding out much hope for a big crowd. Whatever. Mrs. ATL and I are already checked into our hotel and looking forward to a long weekend in Boone and our first home game of the year!

I can't remember missing a home opener and plan to be at this one , expecting a pretty sparse crowd.

It turned out, it couldn't have been better weather after all.AppinATL wrote: ↑Fri Sep 21, 2018 12:04 pmJudging by all the tickes that people have been unloading here in tje Cabin the last couple of weeks and the iffy weather forecast, I’m not holding out much hope for a big crowd.
