Illegal Equipment
At the start of the game yesterday, I think five or so App players and a South Al player or two were sent out for “illegal equipment”. Anyone have insight as to what that was about (to have so many)? Was their tent too dark on their windows? Illegal mufflers? Was a taillight out?

Shirt not tucked in I believe.... I'm not kidding
Edit also saw them looking at the knee pads so I assume this had something to do with it as well:
“Knee pads must be at least one-half-inch thick and must be covered by pants. Further, the pants and knee pads must cover the knees.”

Re: Illegal Equipment
Makes sense, as it seemed to be after every play for a while, and then all of a sudden, no further mention.

Hadn't heard that call for a while. Thought someone had a toaster oven or something out there...

Re: Illegal Equipment
Yeah, it's called if pads are showing most times.
It's a bad habit from practice sometimes that makes it to the game.

Re: Illegal Equipment
I think there should be an extra punishment for receiving excessive personal fouls as a team. Seemed like once it was obvious that we were going to roll South Al, they were intentionally being poor sports. I was worried they were going to get one of our players hurt. I think Duck’s warning shot made them start thinking twice however.

Re: Illegal Equipment
I think its mostly knee pads. Have noticed several players pushing their pants and pads back down their legs after plays several times. Sometimes for comfort, but likely an equipment issue.

Likewise Satt calling a pass play on Peyton's TD drive sent the same message. It came after a personal foul I recall.NattyBumppo'sRevenge wrote: ↑Mon Oct 01, 2018 10:14 amI think there should be an extra punishment for receiving excessive personal fouls as a team.
