So here's a question. Who has been the fastest to 1) reach, and 2) finish in the top 25 in the major polls after moving up from FCS?

Marshall made it in just their 3rd year in 1999. That has to be the fastest. They finished that year undefeated and #10 in the AP.

I hope the team doesn't follow this website. They start feeling bullet proof and will get blistered.
However, I don't think we have ever had more quality top to bottom than this year.
We may not make top 25 but in my opinion we are a legit top 20 or better at least on feel factor. Big wins will prove that.

Marshall did have some violations but I don't believe their wins or their rankings were vacated.

Should have it sounds like, and in my mind it does. We haven't cheated.

Marshall was kicked out of the MAC for cheating which is how they found their way to the SoCon from what I remember reading. They have a history of this.

USF got up to #2 in their 6th year back in '07
