Re: Opening line for ULLAF
Hoping for a dominant performance for my 1st game of the year. Bringing one of my sons.

Re: Opening line for ULLAF
I would drop some money on our side, if I bet on us. But to your point, it has been difficult to figure out the lines this year.
Re: Opening line for ULLAF
Wow that's way to high. UL has 2 of their losses to top rated teams and have 3 blow outs. If they didn't have Miss State and Alabama on their schedule they could easily be 5 - 1. I hope we take them more seriously then Vegas does.

I hope we take all of our remaining games seriously. Just because Troy stumbled yesterday against Liberty doesn't mean they aren't dangerous. Louisiana, GS and Troy are all very dangerous games. So far this team has been very focused, so I think they will keep that going.

Maybe if we came to a screetchong half after Jalin went out, but we didn’t open up on them until after he was out so Vegas might not think of the Moore loss as that dire of a situation for App.

Re: Opening line for ULLAF
I’m sure that the score got the appropriate attention, but keep in mind, NMSU was missing two senior starters from a suspect defensive unit. And the RC’s defense is abysmal. I expect them to try and control the clock with the run game but will fall behind early and try and play catch up. This one could get bad in a hurry.

Risk here of not covering is Satterfield pulling the starters early for rest because of the short week with the game in Shreksboro against the Gumroots.

Excellent point. I would imagine it would be based off when, and if, LaLa quits. Although, a legit argument can be made that the second best defense in the league is our second string.Black Saturday wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:42 pmRisk here of not covering is Satterfield pulling the starters early for rest because of the short week with the game in Shreksboro against the Gumroots.

Every time I watch us there is a new name making a play on defense. We have had the luxury of playing so many guys our depth is great. We seem to pride ourselves on keeping our opponent out of the end zone and that pride is evident even with the reserves.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Sun Oct 14, 2018 5:48 pmExcellent point. Re: Opening line for ULLAF
Beware new ULL head coach Billy Napier. He's a former Furman QB and he hates App. Add in the fact that his team hates us and hates the trip to The High Country. This isn't necessarily a trap game, but ULL's emotional state on Sat. could be their undoing or it could work in their favor.
The Apps simply can't come out flat and expect the Cajuns to show up and quit.

If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Re: Opening line for ULLAF
Actually, the line is set to entice people to take the points. They expect for some people to think that the line is to high to cover and expect a drop off do to the high level that we have been playing, along with LaLas ability to score. Vegas doesn’t care what a teams ATS record is. They just want equal action on both sides. Honestly there are other games with more value than this one, but if I bet on games involving App, the play is App laying the 24.
Edit: it went up a half a point overnight.

Re: Opening line for ULLAF
No offense to anyone who uses the term trap game but that gets tiring to me. We play 12 (now 11) regular season games, hopefully a championship game then a bowl game. This game is at home. No way we come out flat unless of course that means we only win by 21 points. This team has way too many weapons, is extremely strong on offense, defense and special teams. We have already built up depth and seem to be very focused. How any remaining team on our schedule game plans for us is beyond me. This App team is the best ever. Can we lose a game? Sure. Should we? Hell no.

Vegas knows people bet trends and thus set this one pretty high.AppSt94 wrote: ↑Mon Oct 15, 2018 4:42 amActually, the line is set to entice people to take the points.
