Just texted my friend and remarked how unbelievable it is we're even having this conversation 4 years into our FBS existence. Unfathomable when we first announced the move. Add onto that past and future scheduled P5s coming to Boone. Add to that the fact our stinky friends down in Stinksboro haven't booked a power 5 yet . Ahh it's all too great.

I’m not sure if you understand how this media thing works. Tweeting them is what they want. They want followers. They don’t give a rat’s ass whether it is good pub or bad. They need their name out there and gauge success by interactions. But no one is bugging anyone by sending a hash tag #RankAppState. I seriously doubt that they would hold back a vote out of spite. Besides, the voters are thanked when they do it.

But there's always one "if you don't rank so and so you're a trash journalist and your wife's a wh*re". Those people exist. Some random kid was tweeting at my show host last night heckling him about his wife's breast cancer. Kid's like 22 years old. Totally repugnant human being. I just hope we don't have any "that guy"s tweeting on behalf of our cause.

Dude that is disgusting and I hope that your host's wife is on the road to recovery. I hope that you have reached out to Twitter about it.

I haven't seen anything egregious on Twitter regarding the #RankAppState movement, but I am sure that those of us on it would say something as there is no need to make it personal. I know that Laura Brownlow thanked us for being nice about it and i have thanked many of them for seeing the light.

On a side not, you mentioned that you do a shift on a Rock station as well as the Sports Station. Can I ask which one? Can I listen online or on IHeart? Thanks.

Oh, I know, but as a former journalist (not because I didn’t have the thick skin- just getting too old for this ——), I had to wear my thick skin in the face of some of those folks.

93.3 the Planet out of Greenville, SC. You can pick us up really well in Asheville and somewhat ok on the west side of Charlotte, Hickory, and Boone on a clear day. We're available on the radio.com app. It's the Entercom radio catch-all app. I produce the 4-7 show on espn upstate and host my own night show 7-midnight on 93.3.

She was actually just cleared of her 2nd battle with breast cancer. She's a warrior.
