When in the heck did we play at Miami?

Agreed, and that lame as hell "we won the tailgate" line is straight from the 2,000 post thread on our game over on their board. One of their boys proudly claimed that they don't win football games, they win tailgates.

We started some random talk amongst ourselves last year about what it would take to get the NY6 bid. Seemed like the concensous was that we would need to run the table and get tons of help. Well now that we have been recognized we might not need tons but possibly a little help. If we keep winning I would think we at least remain in the rankings. Heard Satt on the DG show today and he was asked about the bowl opportunities. Of course Satt won’t let the current situation get beyond him but I sensed he feels we are kind of screwed- NY6 or same old same ole.

I’m not ready to concede being screwed yet. If UCF wins out then they are assuredly in the NY6 game. If so, and we go 11-1, then with some help, we can get a better bowl. We would need enough fellow Sun Belt teams to qualify for post season play to fill our spots. Then we would need a P5 conference to falter and open up some at large berths. If those stars align, ESPN will make Karl an offer he can’t refuse to put us in a different game.

I think we need to see Houston lose one more game and then win the AAC championship game over either UCF, USF or Cincy. That would improve our chances for a NY6 bid, and obviously we need to win out including the SBC championship game...played on a hopefully frozen field in Boone.

This is exactly what we need.
