Looks like the old, old stuff at App that had the Flying Yosef at the 50.

Re: Teal Turf
Ours was teal because we were broke.

Re: Teal Turf
Nice stadium and the seats are very close to the field. Definitely loud when App fans were doing the APPPP- STAAATE chant and when CCU was on offense!!!

I thought the EXACT same thing. Still think grass green should be mandated.NoLongerLurking wrote: ↑Sun Nov 04, 2018 7:51 amIt didn't look nearly as bad as it looks on ESPN. Cool little stadium.

Re: Teal Turf
I was wondering if it looked better in person. Certainly teal would be better than the RED stuff that Eastern Washington has. That made me nauseous trying to watch a game! The teal just make me feel like the color on my TV was messed up. Just doesn't look "right".

We were in an upper section (203) and my wife loved the individual seats with cup holders...she wants those at The Rock.

Re: Teal Turf
I know you are exaggerating, VA, but we have never been broke. We just had priorities in different places. Athletics took a back seat during Borkowski's term and a front porch (as he used to allude to) under Chancellor Peacock's and various eras in between. For example, science was major driver under Chancellor Thomas. Now we appear to be in an era of both athletics and academics. In my opinion, we are where we should be in that regard.

Re: Teal Turf
Agreed. It’s now a balance with academics receiving the priority, and athletics receiving a fair shake. The way it should be. We are an institution of higher learning, after all.NewApp wrote: ↑Mon Nov 05, 2018 3:56 pmI know you are exaggerating, VA, but we have never been broke. We just had priorities in different places. Re: Teal Turf
Glad it looked better in person. On tv it reads as off-green.
I couldnt tell whether the teal turf made the lousy video feed look worse or if the lousy video feed wasn’t doing the turf any favors. Probably a combo of both.

Yeah, when anyone in Conway called in a missing person Saturday night, the first place the police checked was the concessions line at CCU lol.

Re: Teal Turf
There was no second level on the Press Box side. It was just like our East Stands except the walkway connected to the end zone seating.
