Eh, beats going to the middle of Alabama.
NCAA should be bold and put a bowl game in Boone. Give a few teams a REAL test of strength and elements. lol

Personally, I would have preferred Charleston, but will take this any day over Montgomery.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 2:39 pmEh, beats going to the middle of Alabama.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
Should be easy. This is 3 to 6 hours for most of our fan base with a possible CUSA match up. Beach rent is cheap in December too. Just please get rid of the teal turf.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
I've been calling for the Christmas Tree Bowl at KBS even back when we were FCS. I guess Boone doesn't have enough full service hotels or airplane connections to host a bowl however.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Tue Nov 13, 2018 2:39 pmEh, beats going to the middle of Alabama.

I'm in. Put me down for more College Football not less. Too many meaningless bowls?

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
i would like to get excited about this bowl but my gut tells me that we will likely be beating a MAC team in SC instead of beating a MAC team in AL.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
Meh. Same thing, different location.
Give me AAC and P5 tie-ins. Also rank the bowls so that #1 goes here, #2 goes there, #3 and so on. The disregard for matchups and focusing solely on ticket sales stinks. Ranking bowls gives the fans an opportunity to plan ahead based on how a team is performing during the season as well.
While I am being selfish, I’ll also request that we get bowl games during actual bowl week AFTER Christmas... not an appetizer.
That is all.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
Yeah, that’s kinda my point, those of us who go to this game every other year, are probably the same ones going to the bowl here. I am all for bowl games, just really would have loved Charleston instead of a conference stadium. I’ll be there either way.

Re: Myrtle Beach Bowl
It's a short 20 min. drive from Brooks Stadium to Skywheel Myrtle Beach's adjoining resort hotels and maybe five min. more if you're headed to Surfside or Garden City. Not a bad commute for one afternoon.
