If they play like they did this week against TxSt they're in for a world of hurt.

I'm calling Brown for sandbaggin' it. The Apps better be ready for the Trojans best shot. Glad this one's at KBS.hotrod2001 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 9:16 pmIf they play like they did this week against TxSt they're in for a world of hurt.
If it happens to the Apps, it happens to me!

Yeah, I was thinking that too. Either they were overlooking that game, or decided that they had nothing to lose, didn't care about ranking and just wanted to win and move on. Hopefully KBS is packed and loud and that the boys are ready to roll.asu66 wrote: ↑Sun Nov 18, 2018 10:23 pmI'm calling Brown for sandbaggin' it. The Apps better be ready for the Trojans best shot. Troy was lucky to win the game. It was an ugly game. TXST out gained Troy. Troy is dealing with the injury bug. Even with 6 turnovers by TXST they still only lost by 5. I think Troy had one play of 20 yds.

Re: Vegas line for Troy
I get the feeling that App is tired of the questions and are still bitter about the GS loss.... We might come out and pound Troy like a drum and point our fingers to the West and say "bring it on"....
Or that's just me saying it as a fan...

ESPN currently has App State with an 81.2% win percentage over Troy on their matchup predictor.

Re: Vegas line for Troy
This is the time of year that App often goes into beast mode. If the last 3 games are any indicator (against bad teams I admit) the beast mode has returned. I hope to see a dominating App team on Saturday.

yep, it's about that time of year, where the midseason slump is in the rearview mirror and we come out rolling, much like we did against ULL and Toledo last year. Of course, this game has more riding on it for both teams than any in recent memory. Troy looks pretty slow from what I've seen, but I'm sure Neal Brown will have them ready and a good game plan in place.

Re: Vegas line for Troy
I'm not buying the spread....
With common opponents we are 5-1 and they are 6-0. The average scores with these six common opponents are us 33-15 and Troy 32-17. Their two losses were worse than our two, but they did beat Georgia Southern and took care of business in the conference.
Both schools have had to work through injuries. They are physical and well coached.
I think this is going to be a tough, physical game. I think this can go two ways, does our young team let them get in our heads like Georgia Southern, or did we learn something from Georgia Southern and we go toe to toe and slug it out. We are going to have to be tougher than them (mentally and physically).

Re: Vegas line for Troy
The 1st and 2nd down passes will open up the run for us. I don't believe we can afford to "try and establish the run" through several series of no gain on 1st and 2nd down runs. Our offense is in a rhythm when we throw early seems to me.

Given their D I would assume and hope that we won't run up the middle much (unless it's times they aren't expecting it).

Re: Vegas line for Troy
Lines and %s mean nothing on game day, just extra motivation for them. No team has ever won a matchup based on a spread, but many have lost.
Just show up on Saturday and want it more than they do

Re: Vegas line for Troy
The line is because App covered the last two weeks and Troy didn't come close versus Texas State. Also, the Liberty loss looks really bad, even though it seems like a anomale.

INow that point spreads are legal, I'd rather be the favorite by 10 points than thought of as a 10 point underdog.
