Sun Belt Championship In Boone!

Unread post by /\PP ST/\TE GRAD 09 » Sat Nov 24, 2018 7:32 pm

My wish list for next week.

1. A win
2 Pack The Rock
3. Be loud as hell
4. This one is for the students. If we win, Duck Pond needs a field goal post or two.
5. Minimum concession issues
6. Nobody gets hurt.
7. Quality and funny signs.

I hope somebody comes with a “Hey Eagles, how’s home ?” Sign. Not original, I know but I want to see one anyway.

What's up with the ticket office on the AppStateSports.com not yet working?

I was thinking of making a "What time does Georgia Southern play today?" With this picture.

QUESTION:

Has there ever been (3) games on the same field between the same 2 opponents in a less than 1 year time frame, such as this will now be?

What do you think the turnout will be? There’s nothing much to compare it to but the early playoff game turnout I always remember being surprisingly low. I think it will be pretty high as long as the weather isn’t scary.

Dunno about that but Middle TN played UAB at Middle TN today and they will be playing AGAIN next week at Middle TN for their conf champ game... that's same game at same place back to back weeks.

Winner of that game plays winner of our game at bowl in Nola

I wouldn’t want Southern to think they were even an afterthought, because really they aren’t. Anyway after the LaLa game earlier in the year I told some of their fans that we would have snow for their visit in December.Napier has really done one heck of a job there. I’ve read about his system and he has got them turned around in a short period of time.

This is incredibly ridiculous hearsay, but I saw a post regarding a rumor regarding college gameday potentially coming to Boone next weekend.

My goal isn’t to spread this or provide any level of veracity behind it, I’m simply asking if anyone else has heard anything of the sort?

Somehow with the SEC Championship, the big ten Championship, the pac-12 championship, the ACC Championship, the AAC championship and the rest if the G5 championship games next Saturday; I am most certain that will not happen.

It would be nice, for sure. Doubtful, but nice. We were one of the picks at the end of Gameday this morning. Everyone picked App, and Kirk did say something along the lines of “the game being in Boone,” which surprised me a little that he knew where we were located. Hell, ten years ago, he couldn’t pronounce our name correctly. We’ve come a hell of a long way in that time.

Agreed. It’s ludicrous. I just saw it and thought it so ridiculous that it had to be based off something. I think because it was so ridiculous, it actually made me believe it may be a possibility.

The great thing is because we're the lead in game right after game day they'll be talking about us a lot and probably show some live shots pregame perhaps. Always good to have top ESPN coverage...

It would be nice though. Kirk could do GameDay, watch App play while eating cupcakes, and still make it to Charlotte in time for ACC game
