My takeaways from Troy game

First time up to the Rock yesterday due to work. I've had opportunities but no luck in getting there. Family and I parked in the Legends lot. We walked through campus up to the stadium. I haven't walked through campus in about 15 years or so. Here are my thoughts on yesterday from start to finish:
The amount of new buildings was amazing to see.
Seeing the lights of the Rock in the distance made my heart race. My boys were just as excited as I was.
The energy of the people walking to the Rock and inside was electric.
The stadium was crowded and very loud. I was very impressed with the crowd size for a Thanksgiving weekend.
Our defense is amazing and played lights out.
Offense was electric in the first half. Troy came out on defense in the 2nd half and started controlling our offense. Take out the stupid holding penalties and we could have put more points up. Oh well, we still won.
Getting onto the field after the game was fantastic! My boys got to meet, talk with Duck and get a picture with him. Duck is a class act. Helluva of a person. He showed tremendous grace and patience as people were taking pictures with him.
Exiting out of Legends lot was a breeze! May try and park there in the future.
Leaving Boone was hard on my heart. Didn't want to leave. Makes getting up there for the game even more special.
The family and I thoroughly enjoyed our day in Boone. What a great time and atmosphere.
I'm going to do my best and rearrange my Saturday work schedule to make it Boone. Let's hope it works out.
Go App State!
