I think one more year of this type of success would catapult him to the top of alot of "short lists". Chris Peterson set the trend for coaches like Satt who get the most out of their talent. I get the feeling that he would be more likely to take a regional job versus any where else to maintain his recruiting footprint

Satt may be on the way out but, I don't think this one has any real legs. Satt and Troy's Brown are hot coaching names right now and their names will be thrown about for any P-5 opening in the South-East/Mid-Atlantic. The UNC position worried me, but Louisville not as much as they've been pretty open about their desire for Brohm and have the financial support to bring him in.

If this unsubstantiated rumor of Satt to Louisville comes to fruition, he better get their AD to agree to a home and home with Louisville.

Latest from Football Scoop (for what it is worth), is that Satterfield and Brown are still in the mix but it is all up to Brohm at Louisville:

Satterfield is great and we are fortunate to have him for as long as we do, but it is insane to compare his record to date with Chris Peterson's. His record at Bosie State is one of the most remarkable in my lifetime.

Oh, I’m definitely not comparing records. Peterson is best in class for what he did at Boise. I am simply saying he set the tone for people to look out for coaches who recruit kids who can thrive in a system and coach them up to get their best. Satterfield is in that realm, but by no means has he proven to be the coach Chris Peterson is.

My vote is for Chris Peterson. He is for sure the guy to take Louisville to the next level.

If it does happen to be Satterfield then who at the FCS level is the hotest ticket that fits our brand? Other than the JMU coach.

I wouldn't blame Satt if he went to Louisville. To me, it's a better job than UNC. I just hope he's not offered.

From everything I've read, Louisville's choice is Brohm.

They have made it clear their to Target is Brohm as well as the fan base. Many of their fans are saying Brohm or Bust... Seems like a tough situation whoever ends up at that school outside that guy. The fans excitement level will be low and their tolerance will be short

If Brohm does go to Louisville, I thought I read somewhere that Purdue would probably look at Satt or Brown. Have to wait for all of the dominos to fall.

I thought he had already said no to it. Must have been an old quote.

New rule. Coaching rumors must be shared by at least 3 accounts with more than 500 followers each before they get shared on this message board.

Rumors shorten my life, I'll stay away. Hope Coach never leaves but if he does,
it will still be the same stadium, uniforms, fight song. We have had 2 coaches in
close to 30 years and are luckier than most.

the new guy at East Tennessee State first season took them from one or two wins last year to the FCS playoffs and almost knocked off Jacksonville State. one concern there he was suspended for a week or for a game for whacking a kid in the head on his helmet. He was OC at Florida State under Jimbo.
