It may sell out, but attendance is gonna suck if the forecast holds.

That's what, like 1500 seats left? Not bad for Tuesday - and I assume folks are waiting to see a more concrete forecast for this weekend. The real question is what parking availability is going to be like once the reserved passes come up for sale tomorrow. Still hoping to snag a spot on campus to go along with my 4 tickets.

Either the site is wrong or a lot of Tickets have been released because there are now a lot more seats available.

I noticed that as well. Only explanation is that all the season tickets from those that did not renew for this game finally hit the site

Probably opened up season tickets not bought for the game.

It looks like we will have a half empty stadium. Not going to look good on national TV.

For the life of me, I can’t understand how an inaugural FBS home conference championship game on ESPN gets dwarfed by a 2010 (post- Armanti) game against freaking Elon.

This is proof that we in no way need a larger stadium. This is sad. I'll be there rain or no rain.

This doesn't prove anything one way or another.
December 1 is a busy weekend for the Holidays and we did not know until Saturday if this game would happen in Boone. We share a row with two other season ticket holding families and they had previous commitments for the weekend.
For the majority of our fanbase, gameday means a full days commitment. Not everyone can make that commitment on a short turnaround.
The Noon kickoff allowed us to go to Boone this Saturday and still make an evening commitment in Charlotte.
Plus, the weather.....

ESPN means nothing. Not, even to ESPN. During their broadcast of College Basketball, they were promoting a NOON KICKOFF.......on ABC between Oklahoma and Texas and other games that involved ranked teams. There was zero mention (or graphics) of the Sun Belt, MAC, or C-USA because they didn't involve ranked teams or playoff contenders.
Sure, it's better than ESPN+, but let's keep it in perspective (at least their perspective)

I think this is another case of “black and gold colored glasses,” as someone else put it. Go to stubhub and look at how many tickets are available for the ACC Championship. Two top-25 teams, and there are thousands of tickets left for less that $40. It’s not that surprising that our game isn’t sold out.

Apples to Oranges... ACC Championship is played in Charlotte. While it is a short drive for Clemson fans, it's a haul for Pitt fans, but you're still asking both fan bases to travel and fill an NFL stadium. I would imagine fewer tickets would be available if the game was being played at Clemson.

Apples and oranges are both fruits, both grow on trees, both can be farmed... They are different, yes; but there are a lot of similarities. Death Valley has a higher capacity than BOA Stadium and Pitt's stadium isn't much smaller than BOA. Both schools have large fanbases, yet they aren't even going to come close to filling the stadium. What I'm saying is, other than the SEC Championship, every conference championship is probably going to have low turnout relative to each team's normal gameday crowd. I don't think it's because they don't have enough "true fans," but more likely because it is an unscheduled extra game.
