ULL Believes....
ULL Believes....
We can’t stop their run.
We are overrated.
They should have won last time.
The rain is their advantage.
We are overconfident upstarts.
Our team isn’t focused.
We disrespected them by saying last week was the championship.
The coaching carousel has distracted us
We should never come to New Orleans.
We received too many Sunbelt honors and they were overlooked.
Our fans won’t show.
Georgia Southern exposed us.
They are due.
They will take the crowd out of the game by moving the chains.
They will win!
Time to make some non- believers.

Re: ULL Believes....
I have never heard The Rock be as loud as it was last week, but I have a strong feeling that was nothing compared to the auditory beatdown they will face tomorrow, especially with the student section packed to the gills
I just come for what peace I can find | The spirit ever lingers in a song | And the mountain's gonna sing this song for me |Rock me off to sleep

Re: ULL Believes....
I'll just say it.....they have some viable points. Posts regarding low ticket sales suggest a casual approach by the fan base. Hopefully, the students will pick up the slack. Distractions are numerous, a nauseating reminder of the short week leading up to GS. Focus will be required. Otherwise, this becomes their game to win and ours to lose.

Re: ULL Believes....
Unfortunately, they have a good point at coaching carousel distractions & low attendance (stupid fans). But everything else is 100% malarkey.

Re: ULL Believes....
If they win they will be proven correct....
I doubt they win.
Our fan base, like theirs is small but strong for G5 level. attendance will be lower than liked but will be loud and ready to see blood.
The team I still say feels they have something to prove and Saturday will be a good time to do it.
We will get a strong push from Louisiana to start the game, we will see what they have for us.
No one with an objective opinion expects an upset. look at the odds makers predictions.
Period!

Who are we talking about when we say "ULL believes"? Are players or coaches saying any of this stuff publicly? Or do you just mean message board talk?

Re: ULL Believes....
Just a combination of things I’ve heard during the week. Primarily fan talk through boards and social media, but also news reports. I have also heard some coaches and players repeating the theme that our game was their turning point in their season because they felt they competed and could have won, and they think they are much better now.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 10:35 amWho are we talking about when we say "ULL believes"? Yep. Beats speculating on Offensive Coordinators at Lamar who may be head coaching material.Seattleapp wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 11:13 amAre you trying to give our message board bulletin board material?

Re: ULL Believes....
I would hope that all our opponents believe they "can" beat us...at least there's a chance. UL played us pretty tough last time and I imagine they'll be gunning this time. Wouldn't it be sad if they thought it was a forgone conclusion?
Just my opinion, but I think this game isn't going to be as close as it was 6 weeks ago. I think we let them sneak up on us last time (defensively played tougher than expected) and we were in the process of making adjustments at RB. Evans has a lot of yardage but a lot came on a couple of big plays. We will be more consistent in the running game (Peoples and Harrington now added to Evans and Williams) and our WRs won't be underestimating their D.
The coaching carousel issues are there but I think the team has something to prove and will play lights out for Coach Satterfield!
Bring it, Louisiana! We wouldn't have it any other way!

Re: ULL Believes....
They believe they should have won last time? No. Scratch that one. Their players and any of them that saw the game wouldn't say such and be honest with themselves.
