Re: Field House Update
This rendering is awful. If this is what we’re getting, it should be stopped now. No more patchwork construction, please!
Re: Field House Update
Please no. If we are not going to add seats where track was and have 30,000 seats then leave how it is. What a waste of money

It looks fantastic. Much needed modernization and will help tremendously with recruiting. Y'all complain too much.

Re: Field House Update
It isn't that bad. I am guessing that better renderings will come forward soon. It sort of blends with the Athletics Tower. I would feel better if it matched and had the appearance that they were built at the same time.
Troy's building didn't look too hot in the renderings but the finished product looks great. Of course they did match it to every other building.

Re: Field House Update
The only picture I don't like is the one with the view from the field. Possibly because it's confusing. Other pictures look nice

Re: Field House Update
Is all this being done to where it could be a piece of further expansion down the road? I'd hate to spend 45m and not be able to have the majority of that be up fitted to completely bowl in that whole side. I know that Miller Hill can be bowled in eventually and the East side stands are mod.... Just curious if this fits a greater plan

The most disappointing thing about that article is the percent paid by donations vs. debt servicing.

Re: Field House Update
I’m not crazy about the rendering either but I know renderings can look very different from the finished product.
Two things: all that stuff they list will fit in that little two story building?? It must go deeper into the parking lot. Also, if not ready until 2020, where will the visitor‘s locker room be next year?

Re: Field House Update
Why not connect the east and the west? We have an opportunity to close in the stadium, however, this rendering looks like a free standing building. If it's connected we can ease congestion, add to the aesthetics of the stadium, and increase noise. Not a fan.

Yes indeed! And one of their best songs. I love the renderings!! Think it wil look great when finished and honestly I think they should bowl it off and make that bottom section add student section support or general admission! And make the top club seats but I’m good either way! Think it looks great can’t wait to see the finsihed product

Re: Field House Update
But isn't the debt going to be serviced by "tenant lease revenue" so if true, it's almost self-supporting (at least 81% self-supporting). Another 8% from dining receipts...seems like a good approach to me at least without seeing more specifics.
