So who will we be playing?

Will we play Southern Miss after all?

I hope we get a better quality opponent but I doubt it.

Maybe Middle Tenn or UAB?

I would consider those decent choices. At least different conference opponents than the MAC for a change.

UAB has been very over rated. Middle Tenn. probably the stronger team.

I don't really know... but maybe if UAB wins their title game they'd pick New Orleans? If it were me I'd probably be off to Hawaii, but I'm sure they'd bring more fans to NOLA.

La. Tech is probably the fav; then UAB.

Are we 100% locked into the R&L bowl? My understanding was that we'd at least go to R&L, but that a "better" bowl game could invite us if all parties signed off.

While it’s a possibility, I struggle to believe any bigger bowl committee would see our attendance today and think we are worth bringing. We won’t be an enticing at large bid team until we can show we warrant it financially.

Remember UAB gets to pick, so they're not dependent on anyone else. I did see on Twitter (unconfirmed for now) that they may be headed to Florida.

We're going to New Orleans. I suppose it's theoretically possible a bigger bowl could make a deal for us, but in reality the only place that's ever discussed is this message board. That's just not how the bowl system works. And even if we'd had 35,000 people in the stadium today, it wouldn't make us more lucrative than a P5 team, let alone for a bowl to pay extra for us.

Response to previous posts, with nearly 15,000 loud fans with the weather in Boone today although a bit disappointing was a huge success.
No access bowl for us, Boise or Fresno ranked and will go if UCF lays an egg.

Also the New Orleans Bowl rep extended the invite to us on the podium after the game.

Im totally fine with the New Orleans Bowl. Saturday game, great location. And tied to the conference championship. We’ve already established Kidd Brewer West in Chattanooga, it’s about time we set up a Kidd Brewer - Gulf Coast.

#1-UCF I’d they hold out and win
#2- winner of mtn West
#3- doesn’t matter because if UCF loses the mWC takes the bid.
