I know it probably my won’t happen, but I would love for Satt to coach it. One last go-round for our favorite son. I’m a glass half full person and would imagine the boys would dig extra deep to send out coach on a high note. Even with louisville on the horizon I still believe he would give his all one last time. Regardless, I’ll be there, the one in BLACK & GOLD..... GO APPS!!

No no no no no no and no...... If he's signed with them then he shouldn't coach. If he wants the cash more power to him but he won't be our concern anymore.

Based on his current title, I would assume he would be such.

DG may allow him to but I hope he focuses solely on the next HC and getting our staff in place. For recruiting purposes we need a coach in place and he needs to recruit for Louisville and be focused 100% on that. I know many of you don't like hearing this and won't accept it but Scott Satterfield is no longer the coach of Appalachian State and he is no longer on our side. Louisville is paying him millions to be their HC.

This may surprise some, but I’m not closed to this.

I'm thinking Mark or Shawn Clark. You could indeed be right.

My hope as well. I do know for a fact there are coaches these guys have in mind that if hired they would stay for.

I brushed that idea off initially myself, but giving it a second thought, not a bad idea. What a nice way to honor a great man and maybe make a little bit of amends for the way Charlie Cobb botched that whole unfortunate episode. The Braves brought Phil Neikro back for one game after a few years pitching for someone else to allow him to retire as a Brave. It was a great gesture and I wouldn’t be opposed to seeing Coach Moore on the sideline one last time and maybe get a chance to go out with a bowl win.

There would not be a bad outcome in any way win or lose if Moore coached a one and done bowl game. Not sure if he has enough intimate knowledge of current coaches and schemes though.
It would be a great story though.

That would be dumb. Brown would be gone before we can even interview him

Sometimes life is about more than a W or L and though I doubt it will happen it would be a nice gesture to Jerry, and to the fans that are old enough to remember him. It would be interesting to see how the players that are not connected to him feel about it versus the feelings that may have for a current coach on staff, or even the students that have no real history with Jerry. It would be nice for Jerry and for fans of a certain age. I would certainly not object to have him on the sidelines even if he is not calling all the shots.
This is my very generic signature added to each post.

Love the idea of Jerry Moore coaching the bowl game for sentimentality reasons but...come on. These kids have worked incredibly hard, so we need to allow them to have a bowl game coach that's going to get them a bowl championship. AND what kind of tribute would it be for Moore (whom I love and respect) to get slaughtered on prime time ESPN national television. There's way more that goes into coaching a game than the 3 hours that the game lasts. He's a legendary coach but he doesn't know these players that well, the plays or schemes, and he'd have to pour over hours and hours of MTSU game film and craft a game plan. The players know and trust the current assistants and that's who they will play their best for. So, no, we need one of our current assistants to coach the NOLA bowl, I'm not sure which one but it's got to be one of those guys and these guys we have are strong. Hopefully, if Satt takes one or two it'll be after the bowl. Seems like he needs a few weeks to evaluate the situation in Louisville anyway.
