Football is big business. The players have to know that and all have dreams of cashing in on a big payday for the work they put in. Plenty of life lessons and teamwork but all are also auditioning for a shot. Why should the coaches be different. Satt is just the most recent App State success story. Who is next?

So, a week left to bowl game kickoff. Who is left on staff that will be calling plays? What effect will this have on performance of a great squad?

My money is on Clark to call the offense, Jones the defense. We'll be fine.

I don't really know Ivey that well but I liked what I heard on that interview. I was feeling pretty good about the bowl until he started talking about the odd schemes that MTSU runs and how the defensively alignments are going to be critical to get right...

Did Satt meet with the team before he flew the coop I haven’t read anywhere that he did. If he didn’t seems a little backhanded to me.

Yes, Satt met with the team Tuesday morning before boarding plane for UL. DG met with the team with Ivey in the afternoon and let the players know that Ivey would lead them to the bowl game.

He met with them last Tuesday morning after flying back from New York in the middle of the night and before flying to Louisville to be announced as their coach. He mentioned this in his press conference in Louisville and noted that he had had no sleep. If you get a chance view the Louisville press conference. I thought it was very good and I wish we had a Chancellor like their President.
