is it weird to anyone else the University has been pretty silent on this? I know it not "official" at louisville yet, but it is, and i thought there would be an official statement by now

Ivey handling the Interim job for the NO Bowl makes sense. It allows Brown and Ponce to focus on their normal duties and keeps things more BAU, or as much as possible.

It seems that normally the university losing the coach waits until the university hiring the coach away has their press conference before making any official statements.

I did not want Satt to leave but we're getting a lot of great press on how successful our program has been through the transition from FCS to FBS because of his hiring by UL. A silver lining perhaps? A little history lesson for those that haven't been paying attention to our program since the Michigan win and our move up.

Neuheizel (sp) mention us he was essentially lobbying the P5 to come hire our coach. Mission accomplished Art

Let's hope so. Scott and Ponce would go conservative a little too early sometimes. If we have a 17 point lead at halftime I want to expand on it in the second half. Teams make adjustments on both sides so while people give the other side credit for making adjustments we also have to make them.

The team should not focus on this but if we make a big statement in this game then we set ourselves up nicely for 2019. A finish in the top 30 of the polls this year should give us the momentum to begin 2019 ranked in the preseason top 25. Once you are ranked all you have to do is when as expected and we will gradually climb the rankings.

The focus now should be MTSU though and we can worry about that other stuff one week at a time in 2019.
