You are taking this stance because you know the likelihood of him coming here is next to 0, so you’re not worried about having to defend your thoughts later. And I am worried about our long term future. You think attendance has been down. Wait until we bring in an unproven coach and take a nose dive for years. Other great football schools have had this happen despite their football “culture” . And I bet all these “absolutely nots” and such would turn to “Wow, how did Gillin pull this off” if he was hired. I’m realistic and know the chances are slim, but I’m not willing to say I would reject him if he became our coach.
