Who is next?
Who will Coach Satterfield be taking next to " Looeyville)?" Will it be another assistant coach or players after the bowl game?

Re: Who is next?
Ivey will be interesting because he supposedly wants to stay unless demoted or Satt gives him a big pay day. I would expect Ivey and Jones both to have an offer from Satt to come to Louisville.

Re: Who is next?
Would not any current players have to sit out a year? Redshirts maybe not? Seems like I remember that a FCS player could go to an FBS school and play the coming year and vice versa, but not sure where I heard that.

Re: Who is next?
Who on our staff are the heavy recruiters in Georgia? With the inroads we've made there I'd thing Satt would want to keep that going in Louisville.
As far as players, unless we have some graduates with eligibility that can go the Grad transfer route, I don't see anyone giving up a year of eligibility to transfer there.

Nah we don’t lose current players due to losing a year. Commits we might unless the new hire can entice them. This is we kinda need to hurry so they know who the coach is and he can stop the bleeding.

Re: Who is next?
Our players would have to sit out to go there. I would be shocked if any player who is in good standing actually left us. They are a family and they know what they are in position to do next year. Why go and wait 2-3 years to do something there when you can do it at your home RIGHT NOW.

Re: Who is next?
There's a waiver of the one year sit out when the head coach leaves for another school.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 11:28 amOur players would have to sit out to go there. Then I would imagine he goes. I would not blame those two for doing that. Both love App but they haven't gotten their big pay day and would go off to get it.

Re: Who is next?
There once was a waiver when a scholarship player's head coach left for any reason. The last I heard it was still in effect.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Fri Dec 07, 2018 11:28 amOur players would have to sit out to go there. Here is what I found of the rule. If they want to go with Satt, they have to sit. They could transfer elsewhere though.NewApp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 12:49 pmThere once was a waiver when a scholarship player's head coach left for any reason. 1. the student-athlete earned a baccalaureate degree at the original institution;
2. the student-athlete’s head coach at the original institution resigned or was fired during or after the most recent season of competition, except that the student-athlete is not immediately eligible at another institution at which the head coach is employed;
3. sanctions have been imposed on the original institution that limit post-season competition in the student-athlete’s sport;
4. the student-athlete did not receive athletically-related financial aid at the original institution; or
5. an exception in bylaw 14.5.5.2 or 14.5.6 is satisfied.

Thanks for clarifying. That should take out all the guesswork and assumptions.AppStFan1 wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 3:25 pmHere is what I found of the rule. Re: Who is next?
Because the CW on this board is that Coach Satterfield will make them winners eventually.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:09 pmPlayers want to play for winners. Why would they leave Boone to go to Louisville?
Not necessarily my thoughts, but who knows?

Re: Who is next?
They are in the tougher division but if he can't win 7-8 games every year then something is wrong. With that said, I still doubt he will live up to the hype and expectations they have put on him.NewApp wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:34 pmBecause the CW on this board is that Coach Satterfield will make them winners eventually.Cro-Magnon App wrote: ↑Sat Dec 08, 2018 10:09 pmPlayers want to play for winners. Re: Who is next?
UK seems to be on the upturn as a football program so recruiting in the state will be tougher. It will be a challenge to get to a 9-10 win type season- which is where we are. Will those crazy fans and boosters roll with a few 7-5 type seasons or is the expectation much higher and more immediate?
