New Orleans Saturday pregaming!
New Orleans Saturday pregaming!
Where will everyone be pregaming all day Saturday and Friday night? Was hoping to be around fellow app fans on Saturday. Figured bourbon street but never been so don’t know the good bars from the bad. Post any input.

French quarter with my daughter Friday night and Saturday. No such thing as a bad bar in the quarter. Just put your ID and money in your front pocket.

Just wear your App gear! Looks like my whole fam is coming, so I'll have to be consuming "daddy juices" at establishments that accept under 21ers. The plus is I'm staying off Bourbon St, so no driving required.

We’ll start our tailgating on Bourbon Street and then hit the Alumni tailgate around 5:30. The Alumni tailgate is actually inside the Super Dome and goes until 7:30, which is great. Unlimited beer is also a plus.

Friday and Saturday hitting up Dauphine, Royal, Bourbon and Frenchman Streets. Dauphine and Royal run parallel to Bourbon and are good if you need a change of pace from Bourbon. Frenchman street is right outside the french quarter on the Esplanade side that has all of the jazz clubs.
I'd recommend some of the following places in the french quarter if you have never been:
- Court of Two Sisters on Royal St or Mothers on Poydras for breakfast/brunch. I love the brunch buffet at Court of Two Sisters - particularly the seafood omelette.
- Beignets are everywhere and a must try - Cafe Beignet or Cafe Du Monde are always solid spots.
- Acme Oyster on Bourbon - must try to the char-grilled oyster if an oyster fan
- Erin Rose on Conti St - Frozen Irish Coffee - good starter for a day of drinking
- Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop Bar on the far end of Bourbon - Oldest bar in USA, gotta say you've had a drink there
- Carousel Bar at Hotel Montelone on Royal St - circular bar that revolves like a carousel
- Pat O'Briens - Famous Hurricanes
Hitting up the Alumni Tailgate in the Dome around 5pm.
GO 'NEERS!

Re: New Orleans Saturday pregaming!
Sounds like you know your way around.... my plans changed slightly with my kids now coming. I’m guessing Bourbon St is off the table with an 8 and 4 yr old, but I’m staying off of Royal st. on the Esplanade end of the Quarter. Any recommendations for nice bar/restaurants that would be “kid friendly” that have great food and beer selections?ASUGoose wrote: ↑Mon Dec 10, 2018 10:27 amFriday and Saturday hitting up Dauphine, Royal, Bourbon and Frenchman Streets. -and by “kid friendly”, I don’t mean cornball crap or anything, just a place that kids are allowed and I won’t feel like a douche. My kids are awesome and appreciate a good sports bar with TVs to entertain why I enjoy some libations.
