So, we were all worried about DG finding a new guy and DG just cloned the old guy...well done.

It’s the dudes job now, I can assure you, he totally gives a crap about App St if he cares about himself, his family and the next 40 years of his working life. And would seemingly already have relationships with NC HS coaches established. I’m having trouble finding anything i dislike about this hire.

...His play calling in close game situations is questionable...

When you look at that list he really is a good hire. That said, I watched the NCSU/WFU game, the NCSU/UNC game and you can see that his play calling was not great. Especially late in the game in short yardage situations that ultimately cost the Wolfpack to lose to Wake Forest. Lets hope he has learned his lesson.

40 years from now WarApp will be saying: "if he wasn't on staff during the 05 06 07 runs he doesn't give a crap about Appalachian". Uhh, WarApp, he was 3 when that happened. "well he could've at least enrolled in Junior Mountaineer club. He's not an App guy, I don't like him"

Woah...people this guy out thinks himself and gets very fancy on play calling when all you need is a yard. He didn't change anything when Ryan Finley regressed this season and basically ignored the run against UNC.

If Regressing means throwing for 500 more yards and 8 more TDs than last year, sign me up!

Also - Gallaspy had 5 rushing TDs and 127 yards vs. UNC, so I’m just going to safely assume you have no clue what you’re talking about.

Everyone saying our next coach will use us as a stepping stone ; what do you think Satterfield did?
He was a little more selective that others may have been, but that was due more to his family situation than his loyalty to App.
He used his success here to get a bigger opportunity elsewhere and jumped on it. Nothing wrong with that, but let’s keep that in mind when thinking about Coach Drink’s hire and any future App hires.

Satterfield was anything but selective.... he took the first job he interviewed for (as I remember, and I could be wrong, Cincinnati was an "interest" not an interview) and jumped! I hardly call that selective!

You can literally tie a Seinfeld reference to any situation in life.... Trust me, I do it.

You were the one who responded to my suggestion of Eli on the “If Doug Gillin Called You...” thread by poo pooing him. Obviously you have your feelings, no matter how misinformed they may be. Pretty much everything you’ve stated about him so far is untrue lol. Just give it a rest. There’s literally zero obvious drawbacks to this hire, he did a damn good job at State.
