My thousand a year doesn't make the cut for breakfast with the AD on gameday. I like to thank that I buy the gatorade for the GaSo game anything to help the cause.
Your thousand a year is $1,000 more than 80,000 App grads give. It is appreciated believe me!!!!!

45-9. Still a final. Until they can back up their talk, they’ll continue to be ignored; something they’re used to, even in their own city.

Obviously everyone is forgetting the game at GaSO. If we get injured next year then we could easily go 8-4 or 4-8.

Satt was coaching that one and we looked like a bunch of monkeys to an inferior team on national television.
Easily go 4-8? Good lord. We would have to suffer injuries to half the team to drop that far.

Have they hired a football coach yet?

My takeaway is that they are paying more for their Yugo than we are for the Ferrari.

Not worth discussing Charlotte. They are useless.

Agree. They are so delusional. It looks like their basketball program is worse than the football program. Not sure how that's possible. Don't bother discussing anything with them. They are lonely and looking for attention. Stay away.

Its nice to know some things never change on this board.

Coach is great
Coach sucks
Wrong hire
Great back ground
Lots of promise
Butt hurt people who wanted a different coach
Butt hurt alums who think their way is the only right way to do things
Mods stepping in with a warning
Hollywood ripping his shirt off
People with connections throwing out insider info
UNCC football still exists
We have a coach that likes cups with ice
Nepotism
Blood, guts, and glory

"Once upon a time you dressed so fine
Threw the bums a dime in your prime, didn't you?
People call say 'beware doll, you're bound to fall'
You thought they were all kidding you
You used to laugh about
Everybody that was hanging out
Now you don't talk so loud
Now you don't seem so proud
About having to be scrounging your next meal
How does it feel, how does it feel?
To be without a home
Like a complete unknown, like a rolling stone"

Oh wait we are a stepping stone not a rolling stone my bad.
All we are missing is a BBQ debate, and someone meeting up in the food lion parking lot for a beat down.

Go APPS!!!!

Furman still sucks.

First and foremost this will be my last response on this issue. I respect everyone’s opinion. But unless you are an insider to the App State Football Program as I am as a proud ASU Hall of Famer you don’t really know what’s going on within our football program right now. Don’t be blinded by the winning. ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT GOLD!!! AD Gillin has lost the support of many of us who helped build the App State program to what it is today. It’s not about black or white. It’s about the most qualified candidates. And it just so happens that during this search there were at least 6 coaches with App State ties who are 5 times more qualified then the coach we hired. Two of them just happened to be African-American. AD Gillin is the same person who told this Hall of Famer that he heard that before his arrival 3yrs ago we Mountaineers tailgated out of one car and one parking space??? I guess thats what he envisioned us Hill Billy’s doing in Boone, NC when he arrived from Missouri Of course I had to set him straight AND remind him that my teammates and I brought the first championship jewelry to Boone in 1986 and then again in 1987. Of course he was clueless to that history lesson. We will always appreciate the fans but you will NEVER understand what those of us who battled in Kidd Brewer Stadium did to make the Mountaineer Football Program the national story that it is today. Only when you walk in our shoes will you understand that I’m speaking for many of our former players who have disconnected with our program today. We will ALWAYS LOVE OUR UNIVERSITY, BUT WE DONT HAVE TO LOVE THE AD WHOS DIVIDING OUR FOOTBALL ALUM. AND I WILL CALL HIM OUT AS LONG AS NEEDED...SOMEONE HAS TOO...

Futfibal, App FB history goes way back before 1986, there are plenty of us others who helped lay the foundation. We have worked thru our problems with ADs and coaches we did not agree with, I hope you are able to also.

I would be interested in knowing how he is dividing the alum, other than the coaching decision. I was in school when you played, loved to watch you destroy the wedge on kickoff coverage.
