I think you are right. I've been hearing since NO that Drink already had his guy for DC. Everything that has happened since then would indicate that is true.
Like I said, WR coach should be the next announcement as he has already been interviewed and was in Boone on Friday.

Not sure. I heard who it was and where he was from though. I know Glass put his stamp of approval on the guy, so that's all I need to hear. Excited to hear that there will be more collaboration between the football program and Olympic sports too.

Don't know why it took me so long to find this site, but everyone who bleeds Black and Gold should pay attention to it. Read every post on this thread and love the passion & knowledge here. Thanks for the insight. My thoughts are as follows: too many "fans" let emotion and knee jerk reactions get in the way of the picture before them. Coach Drink has had success and improved programs everywhere he has been. I see no reason why he should not be able to continue our growth trend. Our greatest strength is our culture. He has made it clear that he understands that. We need to support him to support our program. Our student athletes need and deserve that confirmation if we expect them to believe in the program as a whole. They feed off of us.

Drink is his own play caller. So essentially we just brought in a QB coach who coached an NFL QB during his MVP season. I can see the upside.

I think Dorsey will have title of OC, but that will be the extent of it along with QB coach. Remember, we had Co-OC in Ponce and Clark, but Satt called plays.

this would be a good hire for our QBs though. i also imagine we'll see more pro style passing and maybe even....under center snaps!!! to appease the old crowd who have been screaming for it since 2004

Satt called the plays but got input from Clark and Ponce. I'm assuming he is filling the Ponce role. Also a big recruiter for us in South FL.

Ummmm....do we believe the words we heard from Drink's mouth or a "source"? In Coach Drink's initial presser he said "I will be the offensive coordinator and play caller". There is no mistaking his words.
