Coach Drink Staff Thread

Maybe we could pick up Corley as WR coach. I believe he is from Salisbury....Penn State: Wide receivers coach David Corley will not return. Corley was in his first season on staff after coaching the wide receivers at Army in 2017, and was at UConn dating back to 2014 prior to that.

If it is the same guy that was in Boone prior to the holiday break, it’s not Corley. I’m not sure what the delay has been on the announcement of the WR coach. DG wanted to clear up something (seemingly small) with said person prior to making it official. Not sure if the holiday delayed them getting back together.

Thanks, I was just trying to get this wild and crazy thread back on track for a page or two before dive down another rabbit hole to talk about BBQ or NFL hopefuls.

We haven’t has a good Coke vs Pepsi debate in awhile.

That’s because there is no debate.....an Ice Cold Coca Cola (especially in a glass bottle) is as close to heaven as it gets.

Glass bottle of Coke with some Lance peanuts is the best, but I still prefer Pepsi.

Adams got into some trouble a while back. The twin towers were still standing when this issue occurred. Seems like it shouldn’t still be holding anything up imo.

Now that this much is out there, a responsible employer would ask if there's more out there that needs to be known and considered. This is why hard decisions like this are made by the people with the highest pay grades. One had better make the right call for the right reason or else...

The article said it could be reduced to a misdemeanor after 1 year if he met terms of probation.
I think what’s more important is what he has done in the last 17 years. Any complaints or run ins? If not, I don’t really see a problem. He was 21 and has worked as a coach for several years at multiple schools.
Can’t see him getting in trouble in Boone if this was the only incident

No. But when hiring, even if something is in someone’s past, it is only prudent to ask about it and see how the person answers any questions or responds to it. Like I have been saying, it came off as a minor thing and DG is just doing his due diligence. You better be extremely thorough nowadays just to CYA.

Aww come on man, Cheerwine is good, but not even in the same class. Cheerwine can only be compared to other “spicy Cherry” drinks, ie Cherry Coke, Dr Pepper, Dr Pepper Cherry, or Cherry Lemon SunDrop. It is just a secondary brand, albeit a good one.

Hahaha. There is a place in Charlotte that looks like this, minus the seating. The Sandwich Shop on 36th St and Plaza. Yellow countertops and all. Food is blah, save your money and go down the street to Brooks Sandwich House.

I pray that we could still finagle a better DC candidate (read: less proven but higher upside) out of Clemson or Bama but I highly doubt it. Is there even anyone on either staff with Drink connections? That seems to be the big selling point.
