True. But, personally I think analyst position to analyst position isn't as harmful to the program as a coaching position.

So final (probable) projected positions:
Coach Drink- HC/OC
Ken Dorsey- QB/RB
Junior AdamsPat Washington- WR
Shawn Clark- AHC/OL
Justin watts- TE
Erik Link- ST
Ted Roof- DC/OLB
DJ smith- ILB
Buddy Wyatt- DL
Charlie Harbison- CB
Greg Gasparto- Safeties

Great mix of young and familiar guys mixed with new yet really experienced guys. Excited for spring practice to start.
Just updating this

I assume there will be at least 1 more before its all said and done. (based off my current pessimism only)

I thought Woody was coaching LBs at GSU.

It's hard to criticize Coach Drink for not holding onto these coaches. Seems to me that the only thing he did "wrong" is to aim really high. When you "over" hire, the risk is they won't stay around long. The upside is that SOME WILL stay around. I think we'll get solid replacements and still wind up with an outstanding staff.

Just heard Drink interview on App State Mania and feel so much better about it. He’s already been talking to NFL and major college coaches and has a list of names for replacements. Rest easy App Nation and trust the visor.

Bets on how many more walk before coaching a lick? Curious. Is ECU, Troy, or others out there having this kind of turnover in their new staffs? As I said before, are we going after too big a fish? Does Drink need to look at smaller, yet quality, fish? The players have to be getting frustrated if we are.

could be. I thought he was in an analyst role there but didn't really pay too much attention.

I'm sure ultimately we will have a good staff, it just feels deflated when comparing to what we thought we were getting.
Roof may be great, but there are a lot of concerns, and it seems his "glory days" may have passed. It almost seems that way with Pat Washington too, especially at the WR coaching position.
Link has the least "big time" experience of the outside staff, and in my opinion, is a little bit of dead weight due to coaching special teams only.
I am really excited about the experience Harbison brings, and hope we can keep him.
The rest of the staff are the coaches retained by Drink.
Its beginning to feel like we are in Willy Wonka's Chocolate factory and everyone is disappearing one by one...

Losing these 3 coaches so quickly is definitely frustrating but in the long run won't matter one bit...we'll even forget they were here. Based on what we've seen so far we'll probably get a better crew anyway. We were upset when Stephon Brown was released and then we were doubly upset when Satt took our QB commit Conley and it turns out we ended up signing a QB who looks to be better than both of those guys. These major coaching staff changes are frequently a little messy.
The important thing is to just keep moving forward...I have total confidence in Drink.

And for those who say we are shooting too high, here is a quote from a University of Miami site about Dorsey.

"Ken Dorsey joins the Bills after spending nearly six weeks as an offensive assistant with Appalachian State. Many Miami football fans were upset when the Hurricanes didn’t hire Dorsey. He would likely have left Coral Gables to join the Bills."

Would you same folks accuse U of M of "shooting too high" if they would have hired Dorsey and he left them? I don't like it, I wish he and the others would have given us at least one year but like it or not this is the world we live in now.

BTW, Nate Woody was to coach ILB's at GSU.

"Coach Woody will also coach inside linebackers and Wood will coach cornerbacks for the Panthers this Fall. Both coaches are currently on the road recruiting for GSU."

I don’t think anyone thinks the sky is falling. Drink will get good people in place, but that doesn’t change the disappointment and frustration from the coaching carousel before we even had a practice.
My main disappointment is just from the excitement of what those guys brought, and never seeing the improvement and benefits of them being here.

I think it's the collective not a single individual that has departed. I have every confidence that Drink will find equally capable replacements. I was just jarred by a third departure.
