Can't blame Hicks for his decision. All the best to the young man and his future.

Has there ever been a time when we did not have a great running back? At least one.

Re: Hicks transferring
Never felt like cadet was a great or dependable RB. Too many fumbles and too much running east and west. Steven Miller was really good, but Jerry and Chris Moore has some sort of attachment to Cadet that gave him more touches than I thought he needed.

Re: Hicks transferring
Not sure where that thought is coming from. Cadet has been a running back in the National Football League for six years, so I guess the "attachment" was understandable.

Re: Hicks transferring
Jack of all, master of none. I am aware of his tenure in the NFL, but he has never stayed anywhere very long and had been rarely utilized, and has been used more as a receiver out of the backfield rather than a Rb,
I stand by my thoughts, especially about the fumbling problems.
He was a decent back, but just not to the level of where I felt like he could be counted on Ala richardson, Cox, Moore, etx

Re: Hicks transferring
We started 2013 at Montana with Ricky Fergerson at RB. Marcus Cox only had 3 carries in that game. That was the weakest rushing attack we’ve started a season with in the 35 years I’ve been following the Apps. We’ve been blessed with a bunch of really good backs.

Re: Hicks transferring
While we are on the subject of transfers,
Has anyone ever transferred out of App state and been successful at whatever team they went to?
Greg Milhouse comes to mind at Campbell.JP Caruso started a few games at Delaware, but I can’t think of anyone else who has found greener pastures.

Didn’t Tanyi go to Colorado State? I want to say he was a starter or earned decent playing time. The Rock wrote: ↑Sat Dec 22, 2018 9:59 pmWhile we are on the subject of transfers,
