Come on, there are a lot of teams APP would have beaten in 2018 ahead of 45th. PSU is 9th with 4 losses?

That's why we play the games and don't rely on computers and simulations to determine the winners.

I want to care, but don’t. App is in that “in between” phase right now, which is impressive considering we are only 4 years in to this FBS thing. We are only relevant when we are relevant and are forgotten when we aren’t doing big things. Big names like Dorsey on staff, multiple P5s on the schedule and continuous AP rankings will help us surpass this phase. We just need to handle our business.

We must beat UNC and USC next season. Overtime losses to P5 teams are still losses. Moral victories do not count.

Losing to UNC would be EMBARRASSING

We now have coach who has beaten them and doesn't care for them too much either.

The MWC top 3 had inflated rankings thus their play against each other added to their SOS. Utah State and Fresno were good but I imagine App wouldve been the favorite against both of them if the game were scheduled. App and Boise would likely be a push.

FPI is generally reliable but there is an obvious bias in the statistics used against the Sun Belt and G5 in general.

Remember Muschamp got some extra cliff notes via Taylor Lamb ahead of the USC matchup.

I never give any attention to ESPN rankings. Last baseball season, they had the Washington Nationals higher than the Phillies and Braves in their MLB power rankings, even though Philadelphia and Atlanta were ahead of Washington in the standings and had both beaten the Nationals multiple times.

Of course he would😁
To me it's like Mushamp seizing an opportunity as well as getting a premier pupil in TL. But on a serious note if USC loses to us, Gamecock fans will be be warming his bus you can bet and Muschamp knows it no matter how much they currently love him.

We’ll look like a completely different team to Taylor by the time we play SC. Aside from the uniforms, I would assume that almost everything will be changed/tweaked by then.

Muschamp: Hey Taylor, what can you let us know about App?

TL: Well, they have a QB that will actually throw the ball down field.

Muschamp: anything else? Do you think they will have some drop off with Satt gone?

TL: Actually, this new staff may be better than yours coach. Based on what Drink has said, I am a little scared.
