It will be a tough game no doubt, but UNC has ZERO respect for us and that extra chip on our shoulder could be all the incentive we need. Plus Coach Drink has a pretty good record against the boys in blue...
Understood. The motivation is there for us as fans. But some on here are expecting a win and as we have seen on here, some people judge everything solely on wins and losses.
It'll help that they'll be facing Clemson the week after us so maybe they'll look past us a bit but they are not going to want to lose to an in-state, non-ACC, FBS-upstart school, so they will be motivated. Also, their record last year was horrible but they had a couple of OT losses, and three others that were one score losses. They also had to deal with the adversity of suspended players which they probably won't have this coming season and I suspect Mack Brown will re-instill some discipline into to the program.
With this team we have I really like our chances but it's going to be a hard fought battle. I'm glad our season opener is at home against ETSU, and followed up with UNCC at home, it'll give our new coaching staff a chance to work out the kinks before facing tougher competition.
