Yeah...The article itself has incorrect information. Which raises the question, would he be eligible next year?

Even if he can't play next year, he would add experience and depth to 2020 since we will lose, Cook and Charles after this year.

Not that I put a great deal of stock in stars and ratings but I went back and looked at his 24/7 profile. He was a 3 star with a .8367 composite rating. Had we had signed him out of high school, that rating would put him in the top 10 of highest rated players.

His HS tape looks pretty good to me. Very fast to ball & the point of attack. If he decides to come here, let’s see where he stacks up. I trust Drink & Roof know the issues that can follow a father son duo. All that aside, TD Roof looks like a baller on tape. GO APPS!!

Roof was the only hire on this staff that I was disappointed with and I believe many share my feelings about that. He's already going to be the most scrutinized assistant on the staff. We already have 6 or 7 capable linebackers on the roster. If Roof brings his son in and his son takes a spot from one of those 6 or 7, that is going to eff a lot of shiz up in the locker room. All those 6 or 7 are already sophomores through seniors with playing time under their belt and probably aren't going to like going backwards to RS.

I was against the Roof hire as I thought it was Drink bringing a buddy from NC State, but I've heard good things about him so far, so I'm hopeful.

That's every scenario in the transfer portal. The numbers are ridiculous, in the thousands. Good or bad, like it or not, we are in the new age of unfettered free agency of college football.

I got ya on Louisville, but I listen to a highly respected show that had a weekly guest that predicted Nebraska and Louisville and cant recall the third team to be most improved in the coming season..

I'm all about having as much talent as possible, but there is a part of me also that doesn't like the father/son thing on a team. There's always the potential of it undermining team cohesion and causing resentments if the son winds up starting. I'm sure Roof would handle the situation with integrity but it's a risk.

Go watch the tape. I'm not sure where he would fit in on the App roster but he can play. Seems like he could be a box safety, ILB, or OLB in this defense and that kind of flexibility is what App strives for. I'd imagine, based on listening to Roof and Drinkwitz, that nothing will be handed to any player, coaches son or not.

Are you saying he went solely for his graduate degree and football was only the means to pay for it? Hypothetically speaking based on naivety, no it was not a bad idea.
