I'm in the same boat. Every pair of jorts I own are self made.
If I ever spend $50 on a pair of jorts, I want someone to throw me in the nearest available ocean.

I haven’t owned a pair of jorts since I was 10. Walmart sells this fantastic Wrangler brand waterproof looking shorts, those are great.

I was thinking you are a retired public employee from the education area. I can't speak for the other 330 million folks in this country but I am guessing you are getting more revenue to yourself from taxes than you are paying out. I would be more than happy to have you stop paying taxes if you also want to forgo any part of your pension and retirement benefits that are paid by taxpayers.
