First Play Prediction

Since we have some time to kill before the season starts, what do you think our first offensive play from scrimmage will be? I don’t think we’ll show too much in the first game so I will say Marcus Williams Jr. up the gut.

Agreed on under center play, just feels like something Drink would do for fun.

Guaranteed, the first play will be one of these two for the Apps.
1. Kick off to the opponent play.
2. Kick off reception play.
I'll bet anyone on it.

ETSU wins the coin toss and decides to kick off. The Bucs try an onside kick, and sadly they do recover. Within seconds 80% on YC are calling for Drink to be fired.
Fast forward a few months and we are wrapping up our season in Dallas. Every one of the 80% will swear they have been unflinching supporters of Drink since day one.

Just curious why folks think we would go under center on the first play if we are the receiving team. Isn't that something we would more likely save for a short yardage or red-zone situation?
