Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
When the ACCN released which games were on the network i was a little surprised App-UNC wasn’t already pencilled in for the 21st. Will be interesting to see what it’s carried on.

If that were the case we would know the time already......all depends on the TV networks.

Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
I’m not saying it won’t be a noon kick but UNCs website, along with stubhub, always lists a 12pm time when the time is still unknown. I doubt we’ll know for sure until the week of, maybe the week before.

We have our parking pass already, but I’m curious what did you pay on StubHub?

Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
Think around $80 per but that’s so we can plant giant App flags in one of their best tailgate lots. 3 vehicles. We’ll split the cost between a huge group so it’s pretty cheap. Did this for Penn State as well and got a spot right outside beaver stadium. App State doesn’t lose tailgates.

Went to the UNC athletics site and looked around in the ticket site but couldn’t find the parking. Can you give me some insight?

Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
Will likely be an ACCN game, who else is playing that weekend?
1. Boston College at Rutgers (probably going to be BTN)
2. Charlotte at Clemson (probably going to be a Noon kick-off on ACCN)
3. Louisville at Florida State (in years past, 8 PM ABC game, may be a noon ABC game now?)
4. CMU at Miami (ACCN likely, maybe 3:30 PM?)
5. App State at UNC (ACCN, likely 6 PM kick-off)
6. UCF at Pitt (best best for 8:00 PM)
7. WMU at Syracuse (ESPN+ because who cares?)
8. ODU at UVA (ODU isn't projected to be good, UVA is, maybe 3:30 PM)
9. Elon at Wake Forest (good for regional intrigue, probably a noon type game).

No games for that week are penciled or penned in for the ACC.Yosef10 wrote: ↑Thu Aug 15, 2019 9:39 amWhen the ACCN released which games were on the network i was a little surprised App-UNC wasn’t already pencilled in for the 21st. Will be interesting to see what it’s carried on.

Another option would be parking at Southpoint mall and ubering over to Chapel Hell.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 11:26 amGoogle manning parking in chapel hell this is where I know a lot of App fans have bought passes for the game

We'll be tailgating down in the $13 slum lot (Manning) with the mountain crowd. Can't wait

Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
No reason to do that. Just park at the Friday Center (tons of parking and flat). Short bus ride to the stadium (not walking distance). You get a wristband after you pay and that will get you back on the bus after the game. Also real close to I-40 for leaving.ericsaid wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 11:28 amAnother option would be parking at Southpoint mall and ubering over to Chapel Hell.mountaineerman wrote: ↑Fri Aug 16, 2019 11:26 amGoogle manning parking in chapel hell this is where I know a lot of App fans have bought passes for the game

Re: Thoughts on UNC kickoff time
I'm hoping for 6:00 as well. Would make for a great gameday environment, more time to relax and check out some things in Chapel Hill (which will keep the lady happy, she's not a huge tailgater), and be much cooler temperature-wise. Also less chance of a thunderstorm. It can get brutally hot in Kenan Stadium in August and September for Noon and 3:30 kickoffs. Especially on the visitors side, which is right in the sun in the afternoon.
