Zac Thomas listed.
"Believe it or not, Thomas checks in just behind last year's top two Heisman vote-getters in our metric, with 13.2 points above replacement per game, and just a tick ahead of Clemson's Trevor Lawrence."

Since Drink was hired (based on his previous experience and success with incredibly talented QB’s) I’ve been saying that Zac’s name would be mentioned for Heisman contention. It’ll all weigh on how quickly he can master Drink’s vision and translate it into offensive production. I believe that if he’s as smart a QB as I think he is, and can pick up Drinks playbook game 1, we’re gonna see numbers like never before seen in Boone. This is gonna be a fun year for Mountaineer football!

I don't think we'll ever win a Heisman at our level, but it's great to be in the running and be among other great athletes like Zac is.

Just getting his name out there is big for several reasons - it keeps App in the news for good reasons, it gets/keeps Zac in the news which may help him in his next career steps, and it helps with recruiting for the future. Obviously we'd all like for him to be in NYC in December, but realistically, it's doubtful. I do think he's one of the best in the country, but will "big media" agree with me?
Give 'em hell!

If Zac can comeback & take Penn St into OT on his very 1st start of his college career, he can master Drink's masterplan & give Tagovaila & Clemson's Mr. Sunshine a run for their money.
