Shuttle van

Unread post by GOAPPS37 » Fri Aug 23, 2019 3:10 am

I am assigned to the "Top of the Rock" parking lot this season which is the site of the old tennis courts. I have many friends who would like to join us for our tailgate, but most of them are not physically able to make the walk to this spot. I am hoping that there can be a continual shuttle service to transport these folks. In previous years, there has been a shuttle service from Holmes Center for the handicap which dropped people off at the YC hospitality area, but it would be nice to have several vans which would make stops at all the parking lots similar to the Appalcart. I hope someone from the Athletic Department reads this suggestion.

I agree. One of my friends is ok walking on relatively level terrain but he can't make it up to the stadium without destroying his back for a few days.

If we even had one van or several golf carts picking up passengers on Rivers St. it would be a big help.

They had the carts that would carry folks to the Quinn in past years. Feel certain they will be deployed again this year. I've been impressed with how Yosef has adapted so far. Looking for a great season both inside and outside the stadium.

I've been told there will be shuttles from Top of the Rock to Yosef Club room in Roess Dining Hall. It will be vans, not golf carts as they are not allowed on Rivers St.

I agree with the need for increased Appalcart Service for football patrons. I am parking in the Legends Lot for the first time (previous seasons assigned to the Library Lot). My wife has difficulty with walking distances. Appalcart has very limited service for football patrons on game days. Appalachian State needs to increase Appalcart service or I fear some season ticket holders may begin to opt out. Remember, hAPPy wife, hAPPy husband!

Get her a temporary disabled placard. Handicapabled lot is awesome, and there is a shuttle to the east side gate every 10 minutes or so.

Greek pledge slave labor - find some rickshaw bikes and shuttle adoring fans from legends! They may work for beer.
