I think he was just getting worn down towards the end of camp and ready to get it all going. Now that we're winning, and his offense is playing exceptionally well, he's got his normal confidence back.

Will Clark or Earle take the field this year at NT?

Earle played a few snaps at the end of the Coastal game. I spoke with Clark's family and his career may be over, but he misses the heck out of his teammates and time on the field. Hope things work out for him.

Yes, Earle #99 played the last series.He got really good "push" against their o line. Of course he was fresh and they had been in the game for six hours...

What else can be said about Jordan Fehr? Not only is he a beast on the field, but also a true leader. He will undoubtedly join the list of the great LBs to wear Black & Gold.

Jordan is the epitome of a role model. What an incredible ambassador for our beloved university. JF has to be one of our most mature & level headed individuals to ever put on the block A helmet. Having met Jordan a couple of times, I come away impressed each and every time. Props to JF and good luck the rest of the year. GO APPS!!

Not sure if this is a joke or not but defense is not the issue at Clemson. They are number 9 in the country in scoring defense giving up 12 points per game

Points, yes, yards no. They are number 24 in yards allowed. Point being, you can still win games and be giving up more yards than you did the previous year when losing players to the NFL.

Can't believe Dabo hasn't fired the guy already, last year they had a national championship defense...and a team that lost to Wake Forest and App State almost beat them...there's talk that they might not even make the big 4 team playoff at this point.

But my point is yards don’t win games, points win games and good defenses shut down offenses once they get close to or in the red zone. As I mentioned in another post red zone defense for APP has been bad this year and Drink mentioned we have to get a lot better there.

There's some really good stuff this week, including Drink explaining going for turnovers over giving up yards starting around 16 minutes in. And later on, Roof says the defense has been inconsistent.

He didn't emphasize going for turnover OVER giving up yards per se. He acknowledged that going for turnovers creates the risk of giving up yards at times, but he also made the statement "First man in secures the stop. Second man in goes for the ball." To you point though, he does put an emphasis on creating turnovers so I don't mean to just play with semantics. I just wanted to clarify in light of someone's comments yesterday.

Actually he did. He downplayed total yards as a stat and emphasized situational yardage and turnovers, saying "take the ball, take their life."

3 and outs should be what is emphasized for Defense. Anyway we have gone 1-0 for 4 weeks. Next Wednesday, must be our best effort yet, if we want to go 1-0 in week 5. Congrats to Coach Drinkwitz family on the birth of their 4th child.

yes, easily. Clemson played 100+ players the same way we did vs Gardner Webb.

At least Clemson didn't need style points as they are already ranked #1, and Dabo and UNCC coach appear to be friends, so he made the scoreline respectable.
