Re: Cameron Peoples
That's what I feared when they helped him off the field. Reminded me Meadors when he tore his. He was brought off the field the same way.

Re: Cameron Peoples
Not trying to diminish CP’s injury in any way. I was really looking forward to seeing him this year. But folks Evans isn’t a good running back he’s a great running back. He can flat out get it done. He can play every down and change the game in a single play. That said I’m really looking forward to seeing what CP can do.EastHallApp wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 5:05 pmTwo things that are both true:
1) Cam Peoples brings a size/speed combo that no one else on our roster (and presumably few others at the G5 level) can match.
2) If he’s done for the year, we still have at least three really good running backs.

Re: Cameron Peoples
Let's hope Camerun's injury isn't an ACL tear. Recovery from a minor ACL sprain can be a matter of two to four weeks or so.
Sadly, there are no quick recoveries from a torn ACL. Surgical reconstruction is almost always required for a tear. Been there, done that. Twice.
Empirical research has shown reinjury rates to be lower for athletes who returned to their sport specialty at nine (9) months or later. That's down three or four months from the early 2000s. Relatively recent Mayo Clinic research indicates that up to one-third of athletes sustain another tear in the same or opposite knee within two years. A longer recovery period (12+ months) may reduce the risk of reinjury.

A lot depends on the quality of the rehab. We know that Camerun will have first-class care.

Re: Cameron Peoples
Do we have any updates on Victor Johnson or Desmond Franklin? Not taking People’s loss lightly, but having losses on the O-line and DB positions concerns me a bit more, simply due to the depth we currently have at RB.

Re: Cameron Peoples
At least with it happening in Game 1, it gives him a full year before playing again to recover.

Re: Cameron Peoples
CP is a little bit different and I welcome diversity in types of runners. We have 3 other real good ones so we will be fine but if we lose one more then depth will be hurt. It is just hard to lose a guy that talented so early. Evans is very good but we can't afford to lose 2-3 more like CP or else our chances against teams like UNC and South Carolina go out the window. We need as much of our talent as possible.Mjohn1988 wrote: ↑Sun Sep 01, 2019 10:23 pmNot trying to diminish CP’s injury in any way. I was really looking forward to seeing him this year. Re: Cameron Peoples
I don't know, but i would be surprised. Drink just keeps things a little closer to the vest than we have seen previously. If people's gets on the field any more this year, I will be happy. Hope its not as bad as we think, but its hard to see him playing again in the next few weeks.

Re: Cameron Peoples
His IG post pretty strongly suggested an extended absence, if not for the season. I'm going to assume that until I hear otherwise.
Drink definitely isn't the most forthcoming with this type of info, but neither was Satt. Or have we forgotten when he still had Beau Nunn listed as questionable/1st string on the depth chart while he was rolling around the sidelines on a knee scooter?

Re: Cameron Peoples
Drink already announced he's out this week. His social media posts seemed pretty grim so I'm assuming it's something season ending. Really sucks after seeing how much promise he's shown in camp and in spurts last year.ericsaid wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:23 pmPeoples is still number 2 on this weeks depth chart?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:11 amHis IG post pretty strongly suggested an extended absence, if not for the season. Re: Cameron Peoples
In looking at the game notes that were on the website earlier this week, very little had been updated with information from the ETSU game.ericsaid wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:23 pmPeoples is still number 2 on this weeks depth chart?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:11 amHis IG post pretty strongly suggested an extended absence, if not for the season. Remember that Beau Nunn was still listed on the depth chart while he was scooting around on one leg.ericsaid wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 1:23 pmPeoples is still number 2 on this weeks depth chart?EastHallApp wrote: ↑Wed Sep 04, 2019 9:11 amHis IG post pretty strongly suggested an extended absence, if not for the season. I could be wrong but I think HIPA laws keep the university from disclosing much about injuries.

I think players sign a waiver of HIPPA.

Re: Cameron Peoples
No surprise here. I hate it for Cam, this kid is great on and off the field. I know he wants to remain an asset for this program and I hope he is strong in recovery and continues to lift the team up on the sidelines.
