Major Cell Network Issues

Turrible it was. Got zero scores, calls or IMessages out. SMS worked at snails pace. Verizon capacity is poor on campus everyday, probably student/town load, so more people took it completely down as everything timed out.

A cell tower will only handle a given number of users at any one time. Depending on distance from the tower somebody gets bounced when the number is exceeded.

I want to talk with others that are also in stadium, check scores scores, make reservations for post game. I want to do these things between plays while still watching the game.

Same. I have Verizon as well, usually I can text fine and look up other scores when I want but not yesterday. I agree I used to like when they would put up scores from around the country, maybe Drink asked for them to not do that because it could get players distracted? Either way I hope my phone starts getting better to where I can at least text.

Make reservations pre game. Talk to friends before game. Check scores at halftime. Make noise the rest of the time!!!!

My guess is that they will tell you that it makes no sense to spend money to make you happy 6 times a year.

Its nice to be able to keep up with scores from other games during the down times, especially the too frequent and eternal TV time outs. Even when they put scores up on the board, which they didn’t do on Saturday, they do a pretty crappy job of it.

My Verizon service was horrible. I could send a text, but I was not able to connect with the office Some need to stay connected to be able to attend games. If the Athletics dept can do something to fix, it is needed.

They need to install boosters in the stadium. This shouldn't be an issue.

I don't think it's App State Athletics' fault that Verizon had issues Saturday. I was on the beach in Emerald Isle and had some issues with Verizon as well.

Anytime you are within 300 yards of 25000 people in the mountains, your coverage will be affected.

Get a satellite phone.
