That is impressive. In looking through the list, it appears Louisiana's RB's are also doing very well. Ragas is averaging 10.7 per carry and Calais is averaging 11.9.

Re: FBS leading rusher
He is a baller for sure. I believe he just became our all-time kick returner for touchdowns? I haven't re-watched the game on ESPN+ yet but from my seat in the stands it looked like he actually accelerated at the end of his second long score to further demoralize his pursuer.
His instincts are just phenomenal, a natural for sure.

Re: FBS leading rusher
In the off-season I stated that I thought we would be better served to slide him into a hybrid role where we could utilize his skills in space almost exclusively. Still a RB, but lined up outside a lot too. With the stable of backs we had, I felt that would be a better way to feature Evans. His strength was in running off guard or tackle in a zone block scheme and his impact was negated when he had to break through contact.
Over the off-season, he put on 20lbs+ and made it clear he wanted to be the bell cow. I was worried that the extra weight would hurt his greatest asset, his speed. Boy I was wrong. Evans had the same burst we all love and now shows the ability to run through defenders and shed tacklers. Kid is impressive.

It's time for Superman to retire his Armanti Edwards pajamas and get him some Darrynton Evans pajamas!

Straight nasty! I was expecting to be blown away by Zac this year. I hadn’t given much thought to Darrynton improving a ton over the off season (especially since he was so good last year). Boy, was I wrong. He might be the most impressive Mountaineer I’ve seen since #14 was taking snaps.
Side note: did anyone notice that there’s a QB in the top 20? Jalen Hurts is a special talent. Hard to believe he was 2nd string at ‘Bama.

Guys. Seriously. Look at his stat line. #3 has 333 yds on 33 attempts.
I'm not the first to notice. @appstatenation on twitter pointed this out.

Just have to do this. If you get it great. There’s a new NUMBER 3 in the Carolinas and like the original 3, his initials are DE!!!!!
